Should I leave the Forza GAF club to make room for someone else?

I got the 1000/1000 and the past couple of weeks I've only logged in for #Forzathon. I'm pleasantly surprised at how fun they are to go for.

And I probably will put the game away for good after #Forzathon until new DLC w/ achievements come out.

I like the idea of being part of the club, but the way I play certain games, I squeeze everything I can out of them, and then I move. So I honestly won't be popping this game every now and then at all. I'm done with it (even though I loved it).

Are you on PC? If so, have you opened the Xbox App, navigated to Settings, then Network and checked everything is connected ok.

On mine the Teredo Address failed. I did the troubleshooting at the link it gives in the app. I actually had to enable IPV6 on my Netgear Router. Then I windows installed the Teredo Tunnelling interface. The Network Status in the app was ok then.

Couldn't connect to the car meet last night. I was going to try uninstalling the VPN Network Adapter this evening, but I just tried it and it worked fine.

Not bad. I got that glitch only once so far. I imagine rebooting would have fixed it, but I just wound up going to a festival and selecting a different thickness of wheels and they appeared again.

I'm pretty pissed off right now. Bought ultimate edition and spent most of my time making designs.

Didn't really get a chance to dip into online :(

I didn't think I'd finish the Forzathon events this time around because I wasn't having much like finding a track toy that I could get the speed zones done in, but then I downloaded the highest handling score S2 tune I saw for the Lotus 2-eleven and that thing is great. It accelerates quickly to help make up for swerving around traffic taking corner, which it handles better than other track toys that I tried.

How robust is the single player stuff in this game? Worth it for someone who has no interest in multiplayer or co-op? What about someone who doesn't give a shit about customization?

I put 72 hours into this game and the ONLY co-op I did was 2 hours of boosting for 4 different online achievements. All other achievements can be done single player. The single player content is particularly robust.

I don't care about customization either. If I ever needed a special tune I would just search and download for popular ones. I never fiddled with complex tuning settings.

There's no shortage of things to do in single player. Customization is pretty much how much you want to do. You can auto tune cars if you don't want to get too much into it.

Less talented and/or jealous designers may have reported your designs and Microsoft might have as well banned you without checking if they're legit. You should definitely contact them and fight for the ban to be lifted.

That's probably a ban due to the hacking sweep, as bans for illicit content on cars typically get a time-limited ban for the first offense.

Turn 10 can also be absurdly slap-happy with bans, as I've been given 48-hour bans in previous Forza games for downloading tunes from other players that were deemed exploitative and for using skins on cars that they deemed overly racy (not for creating it, just for downloading and using it).

Yeah I haven't thought about it. But wasn't UWP supposed to be a closed system and prevent any kind of interference? ;)

Very robust. Tons of races and pr stunts. Can make your own races and events via blueprints. Eventually blueprints created by others will start to show up as well.

Customization isn't important. There are auto upgrade options, but often that makes races harder as the AI scales so you can even ignore that and stick with default cars if you like. Also easy to download other user tunes if you want cars better optimized for certain events or drifting etc.

Agree with this, completely possible to treat it as a wholly single player game, and I pretty much do, I don't think you are missing out on anything if you don't want to play it as a multiplayer game, apart from a handful of achievements of course.

As agree with the point about upgrades and customization not being important, the fact that the position you finish in doesn't matter (well, it does in terms of CR and XP rewards, but it's not necessary to progress *), means you can just mostly use stock cars, in 99% of cases I can win with stock cars against the AI on unbeatable difficulty.

* caveat, I believe you do need to win in the street races and midnight battles, but they are side content mostly.

Glad the devs are focusing on doing this instead of fixing the fucking game (PC issues including heavy input lag) and figuring out why people's saves are disappearing.

Helios/Playground went from one of my favorite devs to one of my least trusted in a span of weeks.
