Atlus and From Software support along with Unreal Engine? Dis gonna be good

Yeah, From Software on there makes me happy.

Kinda half hoping that stuff like Battlefield One makes it on there. Would be so easy to set up a little lan party with these things. Buuut, that might be expecting a little much.

The box was... ugly. But the concept is fine. It's like a refinement of what they tried to do with the Wii U.

Now, if the software is good --specially with the 3rd parties supporting this console--, I may be tempted to get this. However, I trusted Nintendo buying the Wii U and I was left disappointed. I'll be very cautious now with this Switch.

I dont think this is a good idea. Unless you just have it at home with minimal swapping between stationary and portable the wear and tear from switching everything? I just find it unsettling. Same as the part where you can use the one side as a Wiimote or when they just clicked both ends together to one controller will at least get my hands in cramp. I'm curious to see more of it, but I dont know if I will buy it unless to use it for VC-games if your account will be transferable with all your purchases from the Wii U. Not a fan to have to re-buy all my VC-games for every new Nintendo consol.

I wonder if you can buy just the base unit, I have zero use for the handheld aspect so I'd be paying for something I wouldn't use. I'm in for the 3D Mario alone though

So they showed Mario Kart...but that was the Wii U one right? Do you think its a proof of concept that there's (obviously) a Switch version in the making but....couldn't it play the Wii U version?

Actually, looks pretty cool. Will need to see more when they formally talk about specs/pricing/games/online structure/beam support and whatever else nintendo has up their sleeve :)

The tablet itself and the standard controllers doesn't look very ergonomic.
Thankfully there's this:

Love that you can prop the screen up and play with the controllers separately any way you want. Wiimote levels of comfort with a more traditional control scheme.

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
How is it gonna be compatible to Wii U though, unless you could transfer purchases, it seems like it only uses a cart slot for games.

No dpad, good. Nintendos was atrocious.

Anyway, chances of this actually syncing with the Wii U as well? Not in the mood to hunt down a new pad come the inevitable breakdown.

EDIT:

Please!! ask Nintendo if it's Region free. Please.

Finally! Out with the speculation bullshit and in with the Switch.

I'm totally sold. Being a portable player foremost, it fits my profile.

I really hope that the core system will be portable and THEN you add the accessories (docking station, Pro controllers, etc...)

I wonder how well it'll handle wii u like games on the go... prolly at a downgraded rate I think...

I'll wait for more info before pre ordering one, specially because we don't have any ptices yet

Looks fine as a portable gaming tablet with built in controllers. Literally every other configuration looks pretty gross lol

Hope it's $250 or less though! I wouldn't mind portable Skyrim or Splatoon.

Mario had a hub, triple jump, and a non-isometric camera which will make a lot of people happy.

I like that the setting looks very interesting/creative. This is more what I envisioned when I imagined Mario in HD.

But in bigger news, KING BOO >:D

So they basically just made a small tablet with peripherals that streams to your tv through its charging dock.

It makes sense but those specs are going to be dogshit if the tablet is the system.

Design wise, this feels more like a Sony product than Nintendo. I honestly not sure how to feel about it, on hand it's cool that you can play full games on the go, on the other, what support, battery life, and network infrastructure are they going to use?
Yeah, these are the big questions and I'm afraid we'll have to wait until March to find out.

is beloved, despite what anyone might say
Pretty much what I expected it to be. Want to see more of Mario and some original games on the platform, I guess it's surprising having western games on a Nintendo console but at least for me that's not terribly exciting.

Anyways, will be pretty convenient for me. Play a game at home, take it to work during lunch and play with the classic controller.

Ehhh.

The portable aspect of it looks interesting. It doesn't seem like it will be as convenient to carry around like the 3DS but I guess that's the trade-off for having more modern tech. If it can maintain the same excellent games library of the 3DS, it should succeed. Anything about battery life? I feel like that might end up being a major issue. The controllers when detached look really cumbersome to use on the go. If I get one of these things, I can't see myself ever playing it that way.

The home console part of it doesn't interest me at all. It really makes the Wii U look like an even bigger miscalculation that it already was considered to be. It's like that was a really expensive beta test for what Nintendo really wanted to do. To me it's trying to be a "jack of all trades" but "master of none".

Cool concept, but it looks ugly.

If Skyrim made it then Persona 5 and Ni No Kuni 2 have like 99.99% of releasing on the Switch too(somehow it doesn' feel right to call a console "Switch" lol)

Looks pretty good, I must say. Need to know the price and what else is for the system before committing.

We need to start campaigning for Smash 4 Switch.

Looks great, will get a few months after release and see how it goes.

For now, Nintendo really need to drop the price of the WiiU, that thing costs more than a PS4 and Xbox one where I am.
