In the Japanese trailer we can see they're all yellow unfortunately
Japanese version of the trailer showed, that this sadly isn't the case.
Dyes make some of the clothes so colourful. I love it.

I feel like Tapu Bulu's Grassy Terrain is what Sunny Day should've been minus the halving ground moves.
They've got nothing to worry about then.
Leaf's even lower tier in recognition than FeMC though, I think. She's like never acknowledged.
Well she at least has a very prominent role in the Pokemon Special manga, which is more than can be said for FeMC I think.
But yeah, true.
Except that's actually Blue, who existed long before Leaf and simply took on Leaf's outfit design once we got to that point =p
(Granted, she is based on a character that didn't actually end up appearing in the games, and who was possibly used as a point of reference for Leaf's creation later on.)
So Incineroar is my favorite... But I love all three, and I want to see them appear in other games.
Decidueye seems like the best candidate for Smash. A final form Grass-type to round out the Fire- and Water-type final forms already there. I can picture him pinning foes in place, Corrin-style, with his Spirit Shackle. Or slinging dagger quills from his wings. Or kicking foes in the face with his powerful legs and taloned feet. Or kicking up winds with his wings, blowing razor leaves toward the enemy.
Incineroar and Primarina, meanwhile, would be perfect for Pokken. Incineroar is already a love letter to wrestling, so he's a perfect fit for a more traditional fighter (relative to Smash). There are so many moves in wrestling lariats, elbow drops, pile-drivers, etc and Pokken has a vast enough move-set to accommodate them all.
Primarina would be a Suicune-style "so weird it works" sort of character, bouncing off her water balloons while exploding others. It would look dazzling in Pokken, seeing the arena filled with her glittering water balloons. She could also sing while she fights, which would be amazing. :-O
So yeah. Basically, what I'm saying is:

- Incineroar and Primarina in Pokken Tournament: Switch Edition

It'll be particularly weird if the rumors of Gen 1 remakes on Switch turn out to be true. Since said remake could theoretically be an opportunity to have Red/Leaf serve as secondary rivals to one another as other gens have done.
It's clearly the same base character, just varied by different continuities. I only call her "Leaf" to avoid the Blue/Green confusion (meaning I call the manga version Leaf as well).

With Red/Blue returning (so hype) I'm wondering if Gold and Silver (mainly Gold) will as well considering Gold was the last trainer we've heard of challenging Red and Blue.
I view Leaf as a recreation/replacement of Blue, just as Lyra was a replacement for Kris.
(Really they should just give Green his real name back in English at this point. We got Leaf Green rather than a special Water Blue version, and his new pants are clearly green, just give in already.)

I mean, I immediately considered it like a golden idol. These things are viewed as guardian deities, after all. Gold is a fitting color.

Nah see, Gary is Shigeru's fake name. And Shigeru is just a clone of Green. Much like Satoshi is a lame clone of Red that can never possibly live up to his original.
Fun fact: Satoshi is named after Tajiri Satoshi, creator of Pokemon. And of course Shigeru is named after Miyamoto Shigeru.

I doubt we'll be seeing Gold and Silver. Seeing Cynthia as well as Red and Blue makes me think that the Battle Tree will be closer to the PWT.
Gold/Ethan I wouldn't expect, but seeing Wally makes me think Silver might make an appearance.

The GBA Red and Green remakes actually did officially change his name back to Green, right? It's the first default when you go to name him in Fire Red (followed by Gary, lol), much like how the name Blue was in the original Red. Then they went and retconned it back to Blue for his stint as Gym Leader in HG/SS. There's no going back now.

Outside of Red and Blue part of me wonders if Game Freak will be lazy with the Battle Tree and we'll mainly see characters from Gen VI who already have more or less workable models somewhat (with minor alterations) and of course Cynthia, who will probably be re-used for the Diamond and Pearl remakes.
I do recall The Riddler posting a picture of Anabel, most people assumed it wasn't meant to literally signal her return and was a, well, riddle---popular theories include being able to talk to Pokemon, since she had that power, and an Alola Alakazam that was Physical, since her Alakazam focused on the Elemental Punches which are no longer viable post-Gen IV, but those don't seem to be the case so I wonder if Game Freak will "make up" for the lack of the Battle Frontier by having the Frontier Brains appear in the Battle Tree.
