You missed the old days where we had TWO teams with the Roughriders name. Good times. The Ottawa team folds every now and then so maybe this one will stick.

Pro-tip: Pick Calgary, they're schooling the league and I'm pretty confident they are fielding an NFL caliber defense right now.

Ticats probably, the only team to go 1-17 and they have a losing record in championship games. I think there are some worse teams in the final but yeah, I'd pick Ticats. Roughriders probably a worse team historically but they don't have the defeated, cursed fanbase of the Browns.

Montreal is an exciting trash bag lately though, Duron Carter (washed out of colts) and used to have Ochocinco's contract (where he also sucked). But they had a hall of fame QB and won a few titles so hard to consider them that bad.

EDIT: Carter washed out of the Alouettes too. Impressive

Huge Calgary Stampeders fan. We've been an extremely strong team the past few years, going nearly undefeated this whole season. Looking forward to the Western final coming up soon!

Red and Black, best colours in the CFL. So good that the Ottawa team decided to name themselves after our amazing colours when they restarted the franchise a few years ago.

As a CFL fan in the States I can't wait to have a place to discuss the league here on gaf. I pretty much root for every team but my favorite would have to be the Roughriders as the 1st game I ever watched was the Grey Cup game vs Montreal. As such I also am not a big Alouettes fan and they are the one team I pretty well root against whenever possible.

I appreciate the OT but would love a little more detail outside of what we got.

Not sure, CFL has two slotback positions instead of TE, and anybody that big/stupid/good at catching is probably running to the NFL for a contract.

Mech I think you should just pick whatever team is gearing up for Osweiler after he's cut for Case Keenum.

Well they don't have tight ends in the CFL.. so.. I don't think so? Unless you mean personality wise? Than sure! The CFL allows plenty of wacky antics on the field and doesn't flag players for having fun.

I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to the CFL, so I don't really know what to add ;-)

If you have anything you think is important (write-ups, links, videos, images...), I'll gladly add them to the OP.

There's a lot of cool dumb history, like in the 90's when they tried to take on the NFL with 7 american teams (including pre Ravens Baltimore, I think?) and then got destroyed, eventually folding all of the US teams at once. XFL esque

Oh, and the Grey Cup. That's the one thing they'll always have over the NFL is a legit historical trophy (has been awarded 104 times!)

As bad as the American CFL experiment was the Baltimore Stallions will go down as the only non Canadian team to win a Grey Cup which is a cool nerdy football fact.

As a former St. Louis Rams fan I would love a CFL team in St. Louis and the Dome is big enough to fit a CFL regulation field. That being said I am actually planning a trip to Canada and bet your sweet ass I plan on going to a CFL game.

Man the end of the Ticats/Eskimo game was insane! Didn't like the outcome but a helluva game considering all of the Ticats best WR's were out injured.
