So if there are 15 chapters, at which chapter does the game go linear? I want to know because I want to make sure I have completed all the sidequest by the time the linear levels kick in. Once that happens, I wont go back to open world until I complete the game.

There's too much stuff to do, you could always return back at a certain point. You will burn yourself out if you do.

Chapter 13 along with the boss fight and currently at the beginning of Chapter 14. It is back to being good now atleast and I am so-so on the new Noctis design

P.S Those who are wondering what is my level, I am way overleveld though. I suspect the game requires around level 40 to be safe at this point while my current level is 46 or so.

I honestly wish it didn't take as long as it did, but I was playing it as "intended" for the majority of the chapter, then after a while I figured out that I can kill those robots that you have stealth around with my triangle MP attack and it was slightly bearable (I was using the evade counter exclusively against them), also did you explore the area? a lot valuable items were thrown around the chapter, I got a decent bump in stats out of it.

I never even bothered with Stealth. Death spell takes long but you can also kill them by evading using Holy. There is also the Triangle ultimate spell that can work during desperate situation. Overall, I had to use exactly zero stealth here. I also explored every room I came across but didn't venture further from what the main quest required.

Holy shit, dude. I'm not gonna judge you for your preferences, but if even shit like this is such a terrible spoiler, the only choice is to stay away from FFXV threads until you play the game. There's no way people wouldn't even talk about trivial stuff like that without tags.

I don't know what your saying. but to blame writers for things they are not in charge of and have not been in charge of for a long time doesn't make much sense to me.

Someone asked about shakespeare being a tool for things happening off screen or cut out with no explanation, you brought up Nojima in that context. Nojima would not have been in charge of that kind of compromised state of the game 2 and a half years from release. Especially when even things shown in trailers last year are apparently not even in the game, which is scary to think about.

I remember a split second of this shown in one of the trailers. I didn't think they would go that far with it. Sounds very annoying. If the game had mods I bet one of the first mods would be to skip that chapter, just like the skip Fade Dragon Age Origins mod.

At least DA:O's Fade was interesting the first time through, and it didn't have crazy restrictions like that one hit mana thing. I guess they want you to only use it for sneak attacks and add to the tension.

Yesterday I heard about possible MMO features coming to this game. I will support it if it does, I want more rpgs to embrace some multiplayer modes the same way FPS games did. Not all online RPGs have to be MMORPG with so much money poured into it darniti. ARPGs do it well at least. I loved Dragon Age Inquisition MP dungeons, and I like a lot of MOBAs but I can't play LOL and DOTA2 that well (no locked screen option, and complicated store feature). White Knight Chronicles was fun as well. It's good that no one can complain that the main game was damaged because of MP as well, so if they have to wait to do RPG MP stuff, I'm all for it. When it comes out FFXV should be on discount somewhere and who knows, it may even be confirmed for PC a year or two later.

Chapter 9, from what I'm reading.

That said, it seems like some of the content is higher leveled than the entire main quest, so it's definitely designed for you to go back later, even if just after the game ends. No need to beat 100% of it before moving on.

I'm pretty sure Its at one of the shops near the chocobo rental. Main missions will take you there. They also have much better weapons up until that point, so keep an eye on them too.

lol chapters 9 and 13 were some of my favorites in the game. Loved how different and experimental they felt. Was totally immersed. It seems like I just have bad taste.

How do the controls and graphics compare to the Platinum Demo? I just beat that last night and found the controls to be very, very clunky, but it was enjoyable overall. I still don't understand the whole warp sword mechanic, and why we name that rabbit at the end. Does FFXV take what you earned in the Platinum Demo and bring it over to the full version?
