Ultra David feels Street Fighter 5 needs an entire re-release

How are you even supposed to make a 1 v 1 skill based game appeal to casuals?

Well, yeah. I think that would be best for the game and for Capcom in the long run.

But I doubt Capcom is going to make any sweeping changes to the overall game. They aren't going to go through any more trouble. It'll just be balance changes and a new character every month or so.

The game sold so bad that maybe they should just make a huge update and make the game F2P at this point.

Should be 30-40 at MOST for a rerelease and all season 2 characters need to be out first. But even I doubt this would help too much. The hype has faded from this game.

- Arcade Mode
- A LOT A LOT A LOT of Quality of Life fixes
- Better, Simpler Tutorials that allow players to input commands instead of just watching videos
- Remove Fight Money

I can understand 2/3 of this, but removing fight money? Why? So people are forced to pay for characters?

When you see nice people like Xian and Ultra David being so critical toward this game you know Capcom dropped the ball.

Go buy Street Fighter Alpha 3.

People were very critical of SF4, but that was for gameplay reasons moreso than content. But there's nothing wrong with being critical, because constructive criticisms is how we get fixes.

It has nothing to do with making the game dumber. It's everything around the actual gameplay that has to be better.

MK is still a very complicated game but compare MK sales to SFV sales.

MK is a way better value for casuals.

improve tutorial mode, add arcade, and re-release as a season 1 pack.

tutorial/training tools NEED to be better, it's crazy that they aren't. Combo training isn't what is needed.

It needs so much work I don't think it's feasible for Capcom to re-launch it and fix all its problems.
Where would they get the budget? The game massively under performed

A solid amount of single player content.

Also a larger player base plus good matchmaking for the online. Any game can be enjoyed by casuals as long as you can find other casuals to play with. Sadly at the moment SFV doesn't have much of a newbie player base online.

Literally all i want is an arcade mode. Its all i play fighting games for and its the reason i still have not bought SF5

Just release it with season 1 and 2 and add arcade mode and the word 'super' to the title at £30 and ill get it

Yeah, what I tried to say is that I never saw them complain about 4 or being negative towards anything.

Ask Netherrealm because they know how to do it.

Hell, even Namco's specifically commented on single-player for T7 and said that they'll deliver based on today's climate.

I agree. The game being incomplete has been one of the reasons why I've refused to buy the title day one.

At least I can feel safe buying something like KOF XIV or GG Xrd Revelator right now instead of later.

Kinda weird how gamers forgot the SF2 phenomenon was on the back of "casuals".

The competitive scene has always been niche. This ain't LoL.

OMFG. Much of the 'depth' in fighting games was result of quirks and flaws in design. Combos weren't even in the minds of the developers when SF2 came out. And LoL is fucking casual? No amount of button mashing will ever make you less than a feeder in MOBAs, but may make you a occasional winner among friends in fighting games.

The system really should be like some of the shooters that have come out lately.

Fighters and stages are free (similar to maps and classes) while costumes are paid.

I just got an arcade stick and I haven't bought it yet. Why? Feels incomplete. I'd rather just buy the complete version at the end play for 20-30 hours and be done with it. I'm not looking to keep up with it, buy all the DLC, buy season passes etc.

They'd need to break down everything and rebuilt from the ground up. I mean there's even a server handshake when you try to go in training mode lmao. Everything take 3x more time to do and load than in SFIV it's ridiculous. Also crazy that in this day and age you still have to go on wikis to get frame data. Killer Instinct and MKX got that right.

They should package the whole season 1 on disc and add code for season 2 pack for 50 bucks. The game needs fun stuff to do other than 1v1 fighting. Mini games, scramble mode like SFxT, barrel breaking, car smashing, stuff. Simple stuff to keep people playing after they get their ass kicked online.

not gonna lie, if they add an arcade mode that gives you FM at the end, i will most definitely play the game every day
