I completely forgot it was show day. I was too buys doing stuff today to even think about it, and now it's almost 6:00. I love it when this happens :D

the middle looks like cgi? think that'd be the first time for super

next weeks animation looks really bad.

toei plz. I thought we were past this

No, the animation looks fine, Tate just as a very different artstyle than the series character designs.
Even if the animation was bad it wouldn't really matter as long as they are focusing on the next arc like they presumably are since they are doing so much filler between these two arcs.

Doesn't look like it to me.
Super also has used CG multiple times, they've used it for scenes of moving ground and even the Super Dragon Balls multiple times.

Hit is too op for the tournament. I'm totally expecting
beerus to kill him
based on the next episode preview.

Hit is too OP! What a beast!

Also, what a fun little episode this was. I dunno, there was little action but the whole "mystery" (even though we knew early on what and who) thing was fun to see play out. I liked it at least. Next episodes look to have some bad art/style/animation once more though :S

Man, the world Hit was in was neat. I want more of that, Toei; more random worlds. More worldbuilding. One of the things early GT had going for it.

So what are the realistic expectations for 17, 18, Krillin, Tien and Roshi as far as this upcoming tournament goes? Are they really going to take part in matches? It sounds too good to be true

They're certainly part of the team and will take part in matches. The matter is whether they'll actually be relevant considering the current power gaps.

They really need to get Whis training everyone this time. Beerus seems pretty surprised about the announcement of the universe's destruction in the trailer so maybe he'll take things seriously now.

It never accomplishes anything in the series! Goku invents a neat overclocking trick while he's dead but it has too many downsides to actually work in a real combat situation.

-He runs out of time fighting Buu, would have maybe beaten him
-Gotenks defuses faster, and it's only while fused that the two stand a chance against Super Buu
-Goku can't even use it fully when he's revived

The idea that it's the natural progression that all Saiyans can naturally gain eventually if they power up enough always sit badly with me as well. It always felt like a secret weapon Goku cooked up for a special occasion, and Gotenks used it because those two are little kids copying an adult.

Did we even ever actually see Majin Buu (the fat one, before he expelled most of his power and created Evil Buu.) go all out? We saw him get frustrated with SSJ2 Vegeta and SSJ3 Goku at times, but he pretty much would always blow off some steam (literally) and then either decimate or match his opponent.

Always seemed like he was significantly holding back.

That episode was a good change of pace, and I really liked the look of that city Hit went into and that Frost callback.

It just makes me wish they would hurry up and visit Universe 6 already.

They will eventually.

I wouldn't be surprised if this upcoming arc led right into it.

Universe 6 looked really interesting. Damn, these different vistas and worlds were the reason I got excited about the new universe, more of that please!
Animation was fine this episode, but holy shit the preview killed any interest for next week's one lol, I wonder what actually happened, as we see Goku actually fighting Hit and then Beerus coming down.

I certainly hope so that city would be a pretty cool stage for Xenoverse.

I'm pretty sure the new designs for Towa and Debura along with whatever material (Super) DB Heroes and whatever Super is putting out will carry another Xenoverse game.

Hell I'd like to see the Demon realm come back with Demon King Debura and a more powerful Towa in charge and have Time Patroller Bardock join the crew and help out.

An angel dies every time someone says Tate's animation is bad.
Tate has his own artstyle that is suited to expression and exaggerated animation and his animation is awesomely fluid.

THIS is bad art;

This is a style;
It's one thing if you dislike his artstyle, I can completely understand why some people aren't a fan of him because of the specific way that he strays from the character designs, but his animation is not bad.

The animation is good the art is awful to look at

I thought this was Dragonball not One Punch Man, good lord Goku got #REKT.

Goku has some sixth sense to notice Hit was after him a universe away.

That is just Tate's style. He has loose model for more fluid animation.

Man, Hit could have taken Zamasu on by himself right?

Also the different worlds was great to see.

Future Zamasu and Merged Zamasu, no. Immortal and Merged Zamasu's was a tank even with his gimp immortality.

Black, maybe if Black stood still and let Hit touch him.

Fat Buu technically has the same strength as Super Buu(they're made up of the same components), the greater influence of the fat good kai is what was shackling him.

One Hit Man.
Will he be in the Universe Tournament? It was surprising to see he can include other people into his Time stop or leap or whatever it is now.

It is kinda strange that we've had all of the Universe 6 team from the first tournament (except Frost) show up before the next arc, but I have to imagine they'll still be involved. Maybe they get knocked out off screen or something so Toei decided to included them between arcs.

Yeah I've noticed. I remember you talking up the scene where Goku & Vegeta were training in the hyperbolic time chamber. That always looked really bad to me. Not a fan.
