Stardew Valley |OT| Resting Under a Harvest Moon [Up: now on PS4]

What are bundles and how to I activate them or do them? I've read up on them a bit, but I'm still confused.

The Community Centre north of town opens up at some point and you donate items in there to fill out themed bundles. There's a cutscene when it opens, you might need to go there to trigger it and get inside.

after you visit the wizard you get access to cc bundles.

Thinking of picking this up for the holidays and downtime between family visits. I'll probably pick it up for PC to play on my laptop unless there's a good reason to get it for PS4 instead?

You can also finish up community bundles through a Joja membership, but I have no clue about this approach because I consider it the "evil" way.

My point was you need to head to the centre in the first place to start the mystical delberately being vague here chain of events that ultimately gets you in there, I was pointing Safeinsound thataway to get it going.

Thanks for the info on the bundles. Right after I made that post, I was able to figure it out. I never went back inside the community center after the cut scene.

I have also experienced weird Ps4 pro behavior after playing Stardew Valley. Including preventing other games from launching - I launched hitman after a stardew session and it would not load until i restarted my PS4. Additionally, Stardew Valley cannot be terminated from by the OS. I would hit options in the XMB as stardew valley was running and it wouldn't even load an interface.

I have actually had to hard restart the system by pulling the plug twice now. It can't even shut down the system properly after the game has run.

---

some UI issues:

In an unrelated issue, the mouse animation has like 2 extra pixels on the top right and bottom right corners. It drives me nuts.

Do not pull the plug, you could corrupt your database, leading to the need of a formatting process. Keep the Power button pressed for 30 seconds and the system will force-shut itself down, far better and safer than cutting off its power source.

But even better, delete the game for now and wait for a fix. Issues were 100% gone once I deleted it.

I'm knee deep in FFXV and have The Last Guardian waiting. I'll relegate SDV until further notice hoping they give proper controller support to this game on PS4 because right now I find its implementation half baked and lazy. Something that clearly works wonderfully for a PC mouse but doesn't with an analog stick.

Yeah I got the same issue once right after the patch, I had to manually turn off the console to get it back to working order. Was very stressful since it checked the HDD and everything afterwards

EDIT: where do I get the well blueprints or whatever? I met the guy who does it but I don't remember who it was

Well? It's Robin you're looking for. Exit your farm through the north exit. Go right in the next section, then immediately down in the next section after that. The house there is your goal.

I thought that was it too, but I didn't see any options for a well when talking to her. I'll try again, thanks

I totally forgot that leaving the barn door open overnight influences the mood of your animals :/

There is no blueprint for a well. You can let her construct one.

Really sad to hear about the PS Pro issues outside of the game, which sounds utterly bizarre (and concerning).

Will wait on those fixes

My two cows and one goat refuse to give me milk...

Is your heart rating with them high? Pet them everyday, let them out of the barn and make sure they have hay and you'll eventually get milk. Small bottles first then large ones as your heart rating increases. Install a heater for winter so they are happy and only let them out on sunny days.

They have to be milked by the way.

God I just need one truffle to finish the community center and it's the beginning of winter.

It's crazy how deep this game is. How many content patches have there been on PC since releae?

Just one, and it was pretty much just post game material for people to spend their farming fortunes on.

Thinking about scooping this up for my wife on PC. It says partial controller support. I'm assuming I can comfortably play this on my couch with a 360 controller?

So I'm gettng screen cut-off in the upper right corner and the lower left corner. Went into a mine and the slime status effect was cut off in the upper right. The exhaustion text message on the bottom left is cut off.

I'm getting the invisible cursor issue which make selecting a button a chore.

And I'm losing the music for pretty much 90% of a play session.

On an original ps4.

Just started this today. Played till day 8, I just wanted that bag!! The starting inventory is way too small. Found out late you could craft. Made a chest, scarecrow, and a nice cobblestone walkway to my farm :)

Really addicting game!

Why the hell does the overnight saving transition into the next day take so long on ps4. For something you gotta do often it's infuriating. I double dipped to support, but shit I might just replay it on pc instead at these speeds.

Just thinking I was lucky that it has never crashed for me, but now I have a repeatable crash every time I walk into the northwest area of my farm map. So bummed because I am loving this game so much. This is happening during Fall. I started a new game, and it wasn't crashing there so I'm hoping moving to Winter will help it.

*Edit* Nope. Still freezes in Winter too. It's like an invisible boundary around my greenhouse. If I step on it, it immediately freezes and crashes me out to the Xbox home screen.

How long does it take? Five to eight seconds? That's not the end of the world for a game where your typical ingame day lasts 10-20 minutes.

I have two current gen consoles, full to the brim with multi million pound AAA releases on them, and yet all I want to play is Stardew..........

do you get to upgrade your running speed or something because as of right now running to town and back again or wherever is pretty tedious and hindering my enjoyment of an otherwise great game

Large Goat Milk, where are you? :(

Get yourself a Stable for 10,000 G, 100 Hardwood and 5 Iron Bars. The horse is included.

Voilà: Move faster with the horse.

Fuuuuuuuck. Is there anyway to change your level 5 skill? I'm on PS4.Somehow I chose the wrong one for fishing. I didn't even know it was a thing. Literally have no clue how I chose the crab pot one. I think my girlfriend was talking to me yesterday and I wasn't paying attention hahaha.

On PC you would just change a number in your save file.

On consoles you're screwed for now. I hope they'll add some kind of skill change option at the wizard tower for console players.

As mentioned, you can build a stable to get a horse (horses require zero attention so you don't have to worry about feeding it or whatever), you can drink a cup of coffee (ether brew it yourself or buy from Gus at the Stardrop Saloon) for a speed boost that lasts one real life minute, you can eat some Pepper Poppers (befriend Shane and he'll send you the recipe in the mail and sometimes send you a plate) for a speed boost that lasts a lot longer than coffee.

If you complete the furnace room bundle in the community center, the minecarts will be repaired and open up fast travel - you'll be able to travel from the bus stop to the mines or to the blacksmith/library instantly.

Once your foraging level gets high enough, you'll unlock the ability to build totems, which can be consumed to warp to the mountains and beach instantly. They're kind of a waste though since they take a lot of crafting materials and by the time you can actually make them regularly you'll likely already have your horse or the minecarts.
