Gravity Rush 2 demo is live

Loved the first game and the second feels nearly the same, if you didn't like the first you probably won't enjoy this either.

I think the graphics and performance are very average though. Is this even 1080p? OG PS4.

if it's getting more people into Gravity Rush, i applaud them.

I sure as shit am not going to touch that Demo - gonna buy GR 2 day one anyways, and i wanna go in absolutely blind (both with regards to story as well as graphics)

Hmm, this is a good point. Although I did already watch a video of this demo being played. Hmm.

I couldn't, I just couldn't. I played for 5 minutes before quitting the demo and deleting it. It was just too beautiful, I didn't want to spoil another second. Give me the full game now pls.

I love FW and every now and then comes the urge to play again. Then I'm reminded of the RNG galore of the crafting system, decide to just spend a few minutes changing my character/acc and call it a day.

Haha this is trueee. It's a beast. Think I might just start up a new save and run through the story again over the holidays though just to spend a bit of time in that world again.

Yup. I haven't played Gravity Rush since completing it back in...summer 2012 when it launched I think. So thought I'd best freshen up on the button layout first!

Haha okay that's cool, as long as it's sorted now, I was starting to second guess myself like "is it really that bad and I'm just like no its cool" ha!

I would assume it's been at least somewhat salvaged from the ps4 port of the first game, it was never likely to be technical showcase.

Got this and Nier both downloading, not sure which first...

This is excellent, never played a GR game before. I think the 30fps really hurts it though. Really hard on the eyes spinning round so much with all that blur.

Now I'll understand all the dialog.

This is an old build.

I feel like this will be me if I play it lol.

The feeling of soaring through the air is great, yeah?

Kinda of a lackluster demo, didn't feature any of the new features as far as I could tell, so it just felt like playing the first one again.

Edit: Well fuck me then never mind, apparently playing the intermediate course gives you a whole different (and longer) demo which does include the new style feature. Which begs the question: why the hell do they even have it broken up like this? There should just be one course that covers everything from both beginner and intermediate.

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything
Press any button to continue.

No buttons work -- I'm stuck on the title screen. Damn. Even dashboarding didn't fix it.

I'm downloading this demo now. Does anyone know what I should expect to be different in the final release regarding things like performance, camera, controls, etc.?

Finished the demo. I can't decide what I like more, the NieR Automata or GR2 demo. Digging the jupiter and lunar modes, swapping between them can't get any easier.

Game runs at native 1080p 30FPS. This is base PS4 settings, there's a Pro patch confirmation but details on that are not yet disclosed. The demo doesn't have any Pro adjustments to it, so it's baseline PS4 performance all around. Nothing else will be changed such as controls or cameras.

Playing GR2 and NieR demo in the same night

Exactly how I feel as well. These are my two most anticipated games of next year.

December was a great month for me and Playstation. Between these two demos, Yakuza 6, Battle Garegga, and Wild Guns Reloaded, my wallet got devastated.

Two seconds into the (actual) game and you can see how it paid off to be a PS4 exclusive. Game looks amazing, from the wind blowing her clothes to using gravity stasis in the middle of a bunch of stuff to make your own Katamari.

Controls are still just as wild as the first game though. Not that I expected any different, I wouldn't even know how to improve them. But whoever was bothered with them before won't be changing their mind.

And Kohei Tanaka is still a god.

Holy shit its so much fun holy shit aahh the osts so good.

The first thing i did was send people near the harbor off the edge😆

Holy shit!

The sheer difference in visuals from GR1 Remastered and this...

The style, the world details, just everything got markedly improved by a crap ton.

I made it more clear in the OP now that beginner and experienced course contain different mission content :)

Just played it? So this is not the E3 demo? I expected that robot boss to appear...

Anyways, game is good as always and looks really good!
