So, I've only played a bit of the demo and walked out of the room and into the hallway and to the bathroom and just peered into the kitchen. I didn't play anymore because I really liked what I was seeing and didn't want to spoil myself on the whole game.
So my question is, does the main game take place at the same location and such as the demo? Or would playing the demo not spoil anything about the main game? Basically want to know if I'm safe to keep playing the demo or not.
EDIT: I'd rather not spoil myself by watching the stream.
The demo doesn't spoil anything from the main game.
The area which the demo takes place in does appear in the game, however it's completely repurposed and all the items and other things are different/replaced.
Play the demo man
I've been saying this is just another Outlast clone since the first moments of the first E3 reveal trailer and the Twitch stream linked here proves it, at least imo.
I watched about 15 minutes or so and the streamer put the VHS tape in to play Mia's stealth section. Aside from it being painfully short and pointless, with terrible stealth mechanics, it literally copies the concept that Outlast has where you're somebody carrying a camera around, moving around a seemingly abandoned house totally defenceless and all you can do is run and hide when eventually a scripted trigger box has the enemy grab you and the segment ends there. TOTALLY not from fucking Outlast, right guys?
People saying how you're not defenceless and you have options, wellin that VHS segment you have NO options - you run and hide, or have to start from an earlier checkpoint.
Also what's up with the character breathing so much to themselves like how the protagonist does in Outlast and Amnesia? It's actually distracting to listen to with headphones on.

Let me guess. You only watched the VHS tape section and turned the stream off?I've been saying this is just another Outlast clone since the first moments of the first E3 reveal trailer and the Twitch stream linked here proves it, at least imo.

That's like saying Nier is a 2D sidescroller since it has a 2D sidescrolling section.

I just want to know what year this game is taking place.
So you did watch nothing because you should have the opposite opnion.I've been saying this is just another Outlast clone since the first moments of the first E3 reveal trailer and the Twitch stream linked here proves it, at least imo.

Jesus did they genetically modify him with genes from a horse :O
Watched a bit of footage and I'm sold.
It feels good to be excited about a Resident Evil game again.
That's a huge penis, jesus.
He's playing on easy with the brightness on 100%.Hope the hide and seek stuff is frontloaded, popped into a couple streams and that's all I was seeing at first. But where they are at now looks alright. I'm assuming the UAE streamer is on some super low difficulty though.
It's annoying that I'm still kinda on the fence but I don't want to watch any more of it.
Oh, really? Thank God, because there's a serious lack of mood/tension without it.From what I hear, the streamer linked in this topic is playing on Casual difficulty, with brightness 100% up, and doing PS4 Share so there's no music.
Isn't that a blurry pick of the spiked paint roller he uses in this video clip:

Apparently some other streams of playing on normal and a friend tells me there's a HUGE difference.
Well, the dude fucked up Jack with a switch knife, that better be casual difficulty. From what I hear, the streamer linked in this topic is playing on Casual difficulty, with brightness 100% up, and doing PS4 Share so there's no music.

Dude's definitely stuck
I'm not watching the streams as I want to play it myself, but I know a few GAF'ers and people who are who I've been prodding a bit with curious questions. One of them has watched an easy and normal stream, and says Jack moves a lot faster and attacks a lot more on normal than easy.
So does Jack look faster in this clip to you than he does from whoever you're watching? If he does, then the guy you're watching is probably playing on Easy difficulty: https://youtu.be/TlgCnPPoIas?t=37
I'm still debating which difficulty to play on myself, Normal or Madhouse. Hope we hear the full set of Madhouse differences soon.
still undecided about this, but on a media blackout either way.
one improtant question though: any news regarding multiplayer? has capcom confirmed either way, whether there will be any kind of MP component, right on launch or later on as DLC??
I'll be playing on Normal. Is madhouse unlocked only through the season pass? If so I'll have to wait. I don't like buying season passes without seeing some footage or more detail than what they've given us.
