I need one too. Gamestop just looked at me like I didn't know what I was talking about.
Real talk: I can't stand it when the clerks act like any item without a bunch of posters and fanfare must not exist.

I've got my eye on the Hori controller. They've got a good history with pads and it could be a bit cheaper so if that's available close to launch or after and winds up being less pricey, I might just snag one up.
How much is it? It looks better than the actual Switch controller.
All I need is this and that premium screen protector from HORI and my launch day will be set.

Where does this plug into? The USB on the side of the dock? If so that sounds less than ideal

I don't get why NOA is holding back preorders for the
Switch Pro-Controller? So far I only see this available on 3 online sites. eBay has it for the low price of $200, lol, Amazon.com/UK has it for 99.00, and Zavvi which is for US orders has it available for $74.99+2.99 shipping. I don't know much about them or if they are trustworthy. I was hoping Amazon/US GameStop, or Best Buy would have it up for preorder soon.
Quick question. Did NOA hold back the release of the Wii U Pro Controller at the Wii U launch? I was thinking it wasn't available or they undershipped it at launch and was very hard to find. Can anyone confirm this. If so I hope they don't repeat the same mistake.

Does the Switch not come with a pro controller or you just wanted a second one?

Can't believe this thing doesn't have a headphone jack.
Why would it have a headphone jack? The Switch does voice chat over a mobile app.
For stereo headsets so can play games without disturbing others.
It is normal and to be expected now. What's wrong with hooking up to the TV, receiver, or the system in handheld mode? Headphone jacks for audio isn't a normal feature in game controllers.

Guys, check this out:
You can take the D-pad off, looks like. Doesn't look like it's wireless, though. I was under the impression it was.
What the.
Removable d-pad, turbo button, not wireless...is this image even official?

True. The waiting game is the hardest part though. Once Nintendo opens up about the release schedule of upcoming games that feel better with a d-pad and especially their VC plans I will want a Pro Controller. If Bomberman is any good, which is a launch game, I think I will want a Pro Controller then. They might not have estimated figures yet and are still working on launch logistics before giving retailers allocations. There is still quite a bit of time before launch.
Convience. I can hook my nice stereo headset to my Xbox one and ps4 controllers. It allows me a nice stereo sound without disturbing the misses and able to play in front of a TV.
PS4 and Xbox One controllers both have headphone jacks. How is this not normal?
As for hooking up to a receiver the dock will be by the TV and the controller will be wireless. It would be easier to just plug into the controller instead of running a long cable.
How does that Hori controller work with the gyro stuff?
Ok. I owned a PS4 for 2 years and never knew that was for something besides headsets.
what on earthGuys, check this out:
The best explanation is probably that Nintendo isn't yet sure how many they will have available for launch, so they haven't sent any info on them to retailers.

Google is your friend.
Does the pro controller have a headphone jack or is it just on the Switch itself?
Only on the tablet.
Well the Amazon US site is fucked anyways right now with how they are even listing some things, so i'm user over the next couple weeks this will all be sorted out.

Peeps are saying it doesn't have all the extra doo-dads. Which wouldn't bother me to be honest, only game I feel where playing with a conventional pad with gyro would be missed is Splatoon 2, but I'd just use a joycon in each hand to play that game with gyro.
i can't believe this is the only way to have a d-pad
Is this why everyone wants the pro controller?
Maybe someone will make a left joycon with a dpad.
