I assume a little bigger then the Switch.
I remember Reggie had unboxed the SE during the treehouse presentation. Maybe they showed the case there.

Oh wow. I had put down a £5 deposit for the Master Edition, but having just seen the quality of the statue, I'm seriously reconsidering my order and hoping Nintendo UK bring over the version with the pouch.

Check out the stream treehouse made on the 13th, at the same time reggie showed the statue they showed the rest of the contents of the package, including the case and the game case (it holds like 15 games)
Yeah they show the case up close and even open it during that portion of the stream.
I have to say I am most excited about the case included with this special edition. It's by far the most "useful" item I've ever gotten with a special edition. The case reminds me a lot of a case I used for my DS/3DS for quite awhile.

Ultimate Edition statues and additional stuff continue to look terrible.
The only thing I want is that map as a pack in with the game, it can even be folded to fit the case.
I mean the collectors editions are cool and clearly more limited then others we see but I don't think there are worth quite that much money. Hell I only went for the SE because it came with a nice case which I figured I would want anyway. The soundtrack is pretty nice as well.
I don't know the storage pouch seems pretty nice as well. Certainly more usable then the normal mediocre to decent statue.

Gah. I canceled my Tales collectors because I can only afford one and now I see the quality of that sword. Oh well.
If you watch the video, the case is huge. I'm actually a little worried about it, I wanted something that looked cool but some of the other cases being sold look a lot more slim and practical.
You're right, it does look better in the actual video than that image. I personally do not like it, but at least it looks functional.

I carry a messenger bag daily and I'm worried am about that case taking a lot of space. I'll probably use it while traveling only.
Wow, that's crazy. Yeah I imagine it would be hard to justify keeping it if it would cover the cost of a switch and a game for free. Especially if you already have a special edition locked down.
Apparently the Special Edition is available again for pre-order on Best Buy but not available within 250 miles of me and not available for shipping so I want to die

I won't be too worried about that one, since its not selling on ebay I think a lot of scalpers are going to return them, so you should be able to pick one up when they are available.
Otherwise try walmart for pick, most people always ignore them.
Its always been "up" for me, just no shipping or within 250 miles.

That's my setup as well, it looks to me like that would take up half my bag. The Special Edition/Master case in the video shows room for the Switch, a dozen games and an entire extra pocket, maybe for an AC adapter or whatever. Whereas the other cases available online just have room for a Switch and some games. Maybe all the cases are bulky, it's hard to say, but this one is the only one I've seen manipulated on video.

Maybe this is one of the original models to promote and show around before taking it into mass production. These tend to be pretty high quality, as well as going through extra detailing and what not. It looks awesome tho.

Looking like I can get neither of them. =/ Just moved to a Tennessee town with everything BUT a GS, BB and Target. Theres only a Walmart a couple blocks away from me, and a bucketload of fastfood restaurants.

I guess is not different at all. But as I have said before, I have nothing against scalping, its classic supply/demand. I'll get angry with Nintendo for not proving enough, not the reselling market.

I never said it wasn't. I bought mine with the intention of keeping it. I wanted it because I wanted those items and would love to display the sword on my desk at work. But if those are the current market conditions though it is HARD to not just flip it if it'll cover the cost of a Switch itself and a game.
Free market, etc etc.
I would consider it as well but I don't want to deal with eBay's shipping fees and buyer protection bullshit.
If I don't want my masters edition I'll Craigslist it after launch

very pleased I ordered the special edition instead of the one with that...thing.
I preordered both special and masters edition with the intent of deciding later which one I should cancel, but when I saw Reggie show the sword statue I began to question if it is worth $30 extra. And the ebay prices sure are tempting to just keep and special and sell the masters, but I've never sold on ebay before.

Same. I have it preordered but if the sword can buy me a switch then I'm totally fine with just a regular copy of the game. Have literally no idea how to do that on ebay though.

Shiiiit. I preordered both the Switch and Masters copy on a drunken impulse but canceled the Switch pre-order when I realized what a stupid mistake it was.
I was going to cancel my Master edition order but if they're going for 500 bones on ebay or even potentially more then I'll just keep my pre-order and sell it.

The UK version of the special edition is awful. I had hoped we were getting the same as the US Special Edition, which is everything in the Master Edition, but no Master Sword statue.
I'm not sure if a "sound selection" CD and a limp Mater Sword statue is worth £90. I want my Sheikah Slate carry case and cloth map damnit!

Gah.They do a pre-auth on card. Wish they did it the Amazon way.
Doesn't help that the standard edition is going down in price so the extra cost for the statue and sampler CD will only become greater.
