We are in the break room talking about the NFL games yesterday. My supervisor poured himself some coffee and my co-worker put out his cup, and dude just walked right by him. His face went from shock to sadness to anger. I stated laughing my ass off. I had legit tears in my eyes. What made it funny is my supervisor didn’t do it on purpose.

I must say there is a lot of fuckery that happens at my work place.

Have you contacted Spielberg yet about turning this into a movie? Perhaps Tarantino would be better given its brutal subject matter.

One day I'm going to jump on here and one of my employees will start a thread. I treat my employees with respect but I have been known to put an a-hole in his place a time or two.

As a manager I can tell you there are some straight up aliens in the workforce. The cockamamie stories I've had to endure and the bullshit excuses. It's infuriating at times.

Surely even you, though would never ignore an employee, request for a coffee refill?

Did your coworker file for harassment with HR? This shit is crazy.

Your supervisor is a savage.

I'm not an NPC. And neither are we.
OP's boss just shot themselves in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about Office culture (I'm an expert), but coffee and breaks are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in a warehouse where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in an office, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is OP's coworkers, after seeing this, is not going to want to work for OP's boss, nor will they work ever again. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but OP's boss has alienated an entire office with this move.

OP's boss, publicly apologize and pour out this guy some coffee or you can kiss your business goodbye.

They need to bring back from retirement & cast Jack Nicholson as the supervisor. There's simply no other way the inevitable film on this incident will achieve the greatness it truly deserves.

I get the jokes, but I really do not understand what happened in the OP.
Co-worker put out his supervisor's cup and walked by him? What?

"playing" dumb? unpossible
I don't get it. I've read the op a few times now, and I still don't understand what's happening. Supervisor pours coffee, co-worker puts his cup out, supervisor walks by without saying a word? Who's face is going through those emotions?

Jesus, I can't believe this place sometimes. You guys are in here laughing at this. OP and the supervisor are the worst of it, though. Your co-worker better go to HR or something. He could lawyer up and make millions off this shit. How typical that GAF cares more about the cool story than the co-worker being fucked over. Buncha bullies.

this one time at my office, my direct colleague was a direct cunt to everyone. FOR 10 YEARS. He also gets paid the most.

Oh man, that was a good one.

You know, at first I didn't really get it, but now after some proper reflection, I believe I've gained some true insight into this. Some semblance of truth and clarity on the matter. It has layers so numerous so as to be almost infinite.
