World of Goo, Little Inferno, Human Resource Machine coming to Switch March 3rd

Three of the best games made in the past decade. Nice.

Really excited to see more indy support and more launch games on the switch. But three of the best games in the past 10 years?

Wow, didn't expected, but nice to see indie dev are already jumping in Switch developing.

I wonder when they received the dev kit.

Cool, got Little Inferno on Wii U when it was on sale, I think. Pretty entertaining little title. Have played a little of Human Resource Machine and it's alright.
I'm mainly glad they are bringing World of Goo, because I never got it since it was a WiiWare title and I didn't buy much on Wii's Shopping Channel. Excited for that whenever I get the Switch.

I guess the porting from Wii U might be pretty straightforward, since 2 of these were already available on the Wii U.

I'm more impressed that the new version of FRN is a release title. Shinen seemed to optimize FRN pretty heavily towards the Wii U graphics hardware, and now apparently the new FRN is a March 03 game in 1080p/60fps. Shinen had the dev kit in October 2016 at least.

I've honestly never heard of these games and am interested in them now because they're Switch launch titles. So mission accomplished?

Edit: Reading the descriptions. Human Resource Machine is right up my alley.

I think its fantastic that indies are giving the Switch some love already. Played Word of Goo bot didn't play the other too...may have to buy them when it comes out on March 3.

Whoever says...who cares they are just ports are missing big picture IMO as ports like these is what Nintendo needs to help make the switch a success in today's world of iPhones & android phones.

Now, I super cannot wait for March 3.

World of Goo was incredible on the Wii but I don't know if I want to buy it again. I'd definitely recommend it to any Switch owners who haven't played it

I like how Nintendo is doing it. They're having each day have "their day" to announce their titles and they get all the focus for that day.

Even if these are small games or old games this dev got a full day for themselves to announce their games.

I wonder if they held back on talking about all the launch titles for the sake of being in the news. Like if they always have something Nintendo Switch related news every week or every other week, then it's good on them before March 3rd right?

It's like you trick the crowd into having low expectations by showing less, and fix that assumption by releasing more and more information throughout the weeks.

People really rejoicing over ports still?

Well, seeing as how I can't get my Wii to wofk properly with my new Samsung (it has no component inputs, but instead comes with a component-HDMI adapter that I can't get to work even after an hour on the phone with Samsung tech support), hell yeah I'm excited.

Now give me Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 in 1080p.

Two thoughts:

Human Resource Machine doesn't strike me as a natural fit for console; they might need to work a bit on the interface to make it really shine (in particular, I remember using copy and paste to text files on PC for easy editing, which isn't really a console option).

Assuming we're talking digital copies, what does 'bundled with their soundtracks' mean? Having a soundtrack on the Switch itself doesn't strike me as all that useful (although does this imply a Switch music player of some description?) so maybe we're looking at a code to input into Bandcamp or similar?

The game's already out on iPad and feels like it was made for touch. Don't know how it'll control with physical controls but the Switch's touchscreen will do just fine.

World Of Goo is one of my favorite games ever, so stoked to play it again. Never played the other 2 so I'm happy about this news.

It's good! Makes you feel smart when you solve a puzzle and does a decent job of explaining some basic programming concepts.

Plus the standard awesome presentation from 2D Boy/Tomorrow Corp.

Would it be too easy for someone that knows programming pretty well? Sounds up my alley, but I've got some extensive programming experience.

Hm cool to hear. World of Goo was great.

So the (NA/EU) launch lineup went from this on 1/12:
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
1-2 Switch
Super Bomberman R
Just Dance 2017
Skylanders

to this by 1/24
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
1-2 Switch
Super Bomberman R
Just Dance 2017
Skylanders
Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+

Digital:
I am Setsuna
World of Goo
Little Inferno
Human Resource Machine

Interesting....

Still not that great to be honest. Usually I need to convince myself to only buy a game or two at launch, this time I dont have that feeling sadly.

Other than the itch to use the hardware, the software lineup has left a lot to be desired. Regardless, Nintendo hit a homerun with the switch. The hype is palpable among the mainstream. To this day people still dont know what a Wii U is, most people already know what a Switch is.

Possibly, but then you can work on optimising routines to the fewest steps.

I assume you've already played TIS-100 on PC/iPad? If not then you should definitely take a look

Kind of interesting that World of Goo came out for the Wii, not the Wii U, and then to Switch.
Playable on WiiU through the Wii channel.

These are all great games.
Doubt I'll be picking them up myself as I have them all on WiiU, and I'm still playing Human Resource Machine. I might crack for HD World of Goo on my TV, though.

If you haven't played these yet then I recommend them all, albeit in rather different ways.

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
Japan Third party support will be par with 3DS though. Not console game makers.
Its already getting the console game makers, including the biggest one being SQ, Namco already announced that the tales of series is coming to the switch aswell as we know the blaz blue series is coming from arksys

I haven't but its something that has been on my radar for a long time. The big lure to me was competing against others/friends in rankings, but I found out about it well after the scene died off. It seems like a lot of fun, but I do that shit all day (not instruction level programming, but programming nonetheless), so I'm not sure it's what I want to relax with when I get home. I was unaware it made it to the iOS. I'll have to see if it works on my wife's 1st gen Mini, it could be a good travel game to kill some time on flights.

That game aside, if HMR has Tomorrow Corporation and 2D Boy's charm I'm definitely down. I always like supporting them too after the debacle their Wii/PC release of World of Goo was with their piracy problem.

Don't forget Disgaea 5 Complete!

JP support is definitely promising. Can't wait to see what else is in store from Japan. :)

I am curious as to why we never saw World of Goo on Wii U (Wii Goo?). Seemed like an obvious idea, where they could've used the GamePad as well as Wiimote controls.
