Her character had significantly more backstory and heart than the big-busted female character you'll find in gaming.
Think about that for a moment.

Maybe design and write your female characters the same way you design and write your male ones instead of making something deeply problematic and then trying to reverse-engineer justification for it.
MGS 1-3 had incredibly strong women. They were doctors, analysts, and soldiers. They had guilts and goals and skills. They were intelligent, cunning, and funny. They were multi-cultural. They were heroes, they were villains, they were complex and they were all extremely different from one another.
Then we had Quiet. And only Quiet. How far we have come.
