HITMAN |OT| Blood Monthly

Where is a screwdriver for landslide?

In one of the little abandoned shops/buildings, the one with a mosaic wall outside.

EDIT: Ok I don't have much time now, but I just quickly scoped out professional mode on Hokkaido and it is definitely more challenging.

Amos Dexter's balcony has security, the morgue has like 5 bodyguards total, Jason Portman didn't go to the bathroom (and a guard was in there), and the security cameras don't just send someone over, rather they count as a person and can start a combat status.

Seems like it'll be legitimately challenging and will require to rethink strategies.

Guys, make sure to watch the Documentary. It's really awesome and they show all the events since E3 announcement. They even talk about the initial backlash about the episodic release. IOI are incredible, they made HITMAN with such passion, I can't wait for Season 2.

Just did Paris on Professional, pretty fun. Killing Victor was easy enough, lured him to he bathroom by overflowing a sink, but I kinda locked myself in that bathroom because his bodyguard was just outside and he could see through my disguise. Ended up having to throw a baton at him while hoping no one saw or heard anything. What proved to be a total pain in the ass was getting to the auction, since
the IAGO invitation is no longer in its old location
, so I had to knock out a bunch of people to get some disguises AND disable the security system since the chefs in the kitchen seem to hear you if you shoot it (EDIT: I was wrong here, one of the chefs was just really close to me lol). Also the guard outside the room where Dalia has a meeting with Helmut is bugged, I threw a coin and he reacted literally 2 minutes later.

I'm liking some of the changes, especially the ones to cameras since you actually have to be mindful of them now instead of just running through and disabling them later, but I'm not sure how I feel about the extra guards. Feel like it makes it more tedious, not challenging, to do some stuff. Have only played one level, though, so obviously that may change.

Amazon should have dropped off the disk version by the time I am home. Any word on if the disk version will receive a review or do the episodic episodes stand as the reviews?

Was getting caught part of your plan?

You can just
wait for Liza (who has an invitation) to walk into the neigbouring toilet and knock her out.

I bought the disk version for PS4. This is my first Hitman game.I am not great at stealth games but heard great things about this Hitman. Any tips for a new player?

Any of you fine peops had a look at HDR? Is it a good implementation?

It looks good on my Samsung but someone in the Steam forums with an LG OLED says it's washed out. There's a slider so maybe they didn't play around with the settings enough.

Unfortunately I'm having a problem either with Nvidia or my TV. I can't have both scaling and HDR turned on and I think it's because the game has to run in exclusive fullscreen.

My 1070 only does 1440 with the settings turned up at 60 fps. The moment I turn on HDR the scaling goes away and I'm left with a border. It doesn't matter if I set scaling to display or GPU, full screen or aspect ratio.

Shadow Warrior 2 in HDR worked fine at 1440 but it wasn't running exclusive fullscreen.

Complete the tutorial basically. It tells you everything you need to know to start. If you feel the Oportunities are making the game too easy for you it will ask you if you want to turn them off. Don't worry about anything right now. Just play and enjoy :)

After the 8GB update my gm crashes to dash while trying to connect to server 😢

Same for me on Xbox. Game tries to connect then hard crashes. Tried it about ten times now. Can't play it at all.

Edit: wow so they know and the solution is to download the game again. Fucking joke. Did nobody even test this shit before launch? It literally crashes while starting.

If I were you, I would just capture the update link, bring laptop to your gf's house and download from there. No need to bring PS4.

There is a PC program called PSXDownloadHelper, it will act as proxy/cache server to your PS4.

What are the effects? See this pictures

I want Sony to make official tool to make game data/update downloads available via PC :(

Is this safe? As in - do I risk compromising my account details or risk my PS4 being tampered with? Is there custom firmware involved? I don't want Sony to ban my account or something for using this - though it'd be SUPER useful.

I know a few people who exclusively do this and it's perfectly safe. No custom firmware or anything, only thing you change is that your PS4's connection will go through your PC instead of going through your router.

What you're doing is just downloading the file onto your PC and then copying onto your PS4 only the PS4 thinks that it's downloading from PSN when reality it's just copying from your PC.. Any changes made are strictly to your network and do not affect your account in any way. Your account information doesn't even factor into it at all.

It's really convenient since you don't have to sit through the insanely slow speeds on PS4.

I haven't had a chance to try it out Pro mode yet, but in normal mode, the guy immediately to the right of the garden starting location has an invite on him. In normal, he's easy to knock out within seconds of starting and there's a box to dump him in right there. This might not be possible in Pro mode, maybe they added cameras or guards that would see you doing it. Can't wait to try it out when I get home.

Thank you for the detailed response.

I'm so excited to try the game out finally, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little apprehensive after all this talk of having to be online to unlock content. Just so I understand this right: making an offline profile takes away all the challenges and stops me from progressing and unlocking new weapons and such, correct?

Does it use THAT much bandwidth? I don't object to connecting it online if it's just a brief check to see if I'm online I guess, though I wouldn't be surprised if Season 2 handles offline play differently.

the bigger criticism, the always online component, was not mentioned at all

Still poking around professional mode. Yes, they even removed the expired cans of spaghetti sauce.

A subtle distinction: all challenges on professional require you to complete the whole mission. No more save-scumming for XP.

Also, ICA-issued guns are now suspicious even if you're a guard or soldier.

pro mode sure is a lot more intense, but as expected, the 1 save restriction is too hard in my opinion

landslide was great, very fun opportunities. I think world of tomorrow and the icon was better, but sapienza sure is one of the greatest levels ever made

World of Tomorrow > Landslide > The Icon

Man I can barely hear anyone outside in Landslide. The VO and the stage music are both tied to the sound effect volume, and holding L to listen doesn't drown it out either.

Well, that's realistic though. I would never be able to hear someone on a show like that in real life. :)

Wait, I thought they said people who bought in episodic early on who have been waiting all these months for the first two bonus episodes would finally be able to buy them and play them once the 3rd episode is released?

Landslide is out and I'm looking on the steam store under DLC and I do not see a bonus mission pack containing the 3 bonus missions?

What's going on?

Just play the tutorial. Don't worry too much about getting perfect runs or whatever. The moments when things start going bad and you're like "oh shit oh shit oh shit" are actually some of the best. Just have fun. If the game seems too easy because of the guided opportunities, turn them to minimal. The opportunities are a good way to be introduced to a level though.

Anyone had any trouble with challenges not unlocking on professional mode (on PC)? I did the Paris on pro, got the dongle from the security guard, got Dalia to check her laptop and snapped her neck and then completed the rest of the mission. The challenge didn't pop.

Also, suit only runs on professional are going to be fun.
Practically all the ins I had on the map are blocked or moved, can't even think of a good way to approach the targets. Gotta find some new tactics.

To save space, could I just delete and download the episodes I want to play at will on PC? I bought the full package but I only want to play Sapienza and whatever the elusive target at whatever moment is.

Have you played it? The audio mixing definitely sounds off in the area, then again the mixing in this game has always been all over the place. I think I know the real issue though: Prior to this update master volume was tied to VO in my game so turning sound effects and music down meant I could single out VO and just turn my overall volume up. I noticed this in the patch notes:
"Adjusting the 'Master Volume' option has no effect on the VO of Diana or NPCs. This will be fixed in a future update"
Weirdly enough this is the opposite of what I've had and yet its worked out to my benefit. Master volume definitely tweaks all the sound now as its supposed to, which has the unintended effect of not being able to control VO volume anymore.
