February Wrasslin' |OT| Observe THIS, Brother!

A point for discussion. Shawn and the Cliq have always been demonized for their backstage politics and demands. But with the booking the way it's been for the last 3 years in WWE, can that stance still hold up? Not necessarily talking about the demands of money, advances, but in regards to storylines and booking. It seems to me Vince needs push back and A-holes to argue with him or he doesn't get it.

Shawn and Cliq are part of what helped keep WWE affloat which likely led to them being able to muscle their way around as much as they wanted. It wasn't just with vince, it was with every person in the back.

The Cliq weren't necessarily interested in making the program better. They were more interested in making the program better for themselves. Which is why I'm okay with them being demonized for the shit they did.

Seth Rollins screwed Seth Rollins...
The dude is a danger to himself, Joe can't take the blame for the fool not knowing how to take a sleeper hold.

Come on now. It's no ones fault, it was an accident. Seth was selling and Joe's takedown was intense. Both were doing what they could to make it look good, shit happens, that's all.

Can you blame him? He got booked in an angle that was going to go nowhere for months. Literally nowhere. He started getting good again this past month when the storyline picked up.

I don't think I'd blame anyone on the roster for coming across bland with WWE booking.
Except maybe former roster member Del Rio, dude got given so much (including some crap of course) and just never connected with the audience overall.

They also just posted on Facebook the start date for the second half of the current season in May.

See I'm not so sure about that. It seems they indirectly made the product better because in the end their ideas were much better. Even if it benefitted their group the most.

Not sure but I have never seen any appeal in his wwe work, dude looks like he struggles terribly just to move.

Don't care for him, was just curious

Too late. It's lost so much steam and hype.

It's a shame what I hear about LU becoming worse, but since I never watched it I might as well watch the 1st season since so many people enjoyed it.

They bullied talent, influenced booking in ways that would benefit them, and HBK almost ruined WrestleMania 14 because he was threatening to no-show. You could also argue that they did kind of ruin WrestleMania 14 because one of the original plans for that show was going to be Bret vs Austin for the title. But then the Montreal Screwjob happened (which was an idea born from The Kliq) and Hart was gone.

Also, if The Kliq had their way Rock would have never become a star.

You guys saw that Seth was not the same from before the injury right? Now hell be even less. He really needs to get right. Or well get a retirement speech from him way before we should.

This is true.
He doesn't want to suffer that HHH 2000 drop to post quad injury that did a toll on his match quality.

Watch for yourself and see where you land on it. Personally, I think it's been consistent throughout. There's far more "I heard LU is getting bad" than people actually complaining about it.

And yeah, I've watched that Kana tag match against Suzuki once and it's one too many times.

Just watched last night's Smackdown.

The Cena/Harper vs Bray/Orton match had really fantastic psychology. Harper is pretty amazing with his facial expressions and body language. Whole thing was well done.

Carmella continues to be completely awful. She looked worse than the jobber she was facing.

Naomi is actually becoming a solid worker finally and had some great hot tag moments in the women's tag match. Crowd really popped when she pinned Alexa to win it. The springboard moonsault is a good finisher for her.

The Smackdown tag division is in a pathetic state. Holy shit. That random brawl was pretty dumb and felt like jobber city. They desperately need some tag talent from NXT.

AJ vs Ambrose was really good. The Miz was amazing on commentary and his suit game continues to be on point. The commentary table looked hilarious at one point, with Mauro Ranallo, Tom Phillips, JBL, David Otunga, The Miz, Mayrse, and Corbin all sitting there. Fucking 7 people.

Baron Corbin looks hilarious in those skinny jeans.

The only ideas that suited them were ones that involved them going over, getting paid the most, and being the best. Instead, in 1995 and 1996 when both Diesel and Shawn were champions for 90% of the time, the ratings were not good, PPV's were not doing very good, and WCW were kicking their ass.

I even remember reading about both Kevin and Shawn being mad at Bam Bam for his match with LT main eventing Wrestlemania 11 and how they should've headlined, and not the guy who was the reason for the show doing better than it did - LT.

man, just heard the Seth news. That's a huge fucking bummer.

He isn't necessarily dead. It could be a sprain.

When he tore the ligament to begin with we knew he was gone the day of. Same with Finn Balor. And several other guys, too.

Me too. Jesus, could miss another Mania if it's serious. Hopefully not.

They put him over on commentary a lot too.

Yeah that was nice, I think he really impressed everyone back stage these last 9 months, and he did John a favor probably without even questioning it.
