i like inven as a champion idea but i really wish his ganks weren't so absurdly reliable
he just walks up to you and it's like 80% slow into root and what the hell are u supposed to do against that

Saw that build another day and I thought it was a trollish build , like completely ignores the Jungle items and just go all utility

People don't upgrade the jungle item in soloqueue because most of the time it's a waste of money for them. I've seen the warding jg item in competitive, but most of the Ivern's I've seen on stream and in game just stay at machete.

Ivern doesn't buy jungle items, he keeps the starter Talisman around for the mana regen and XP but eventually sells it. Jungle items are meant for early power spikes and better jungle clearing, things Ivern does not care about as a supportive jungler.

ivern has 0 clear issues. all he needs is the bonus xp from a talisman and since the xp passive doesn't stack or increase it's pointless upgrading it.

Also to go along with that, it's not like Ivern gets a ton out of the red or blue smite. Ivern is not dueling anyone so he's probably not taking the red smite. Ivern doesn't really need the blue smite because of triggerseed. As for the enchantments, he definitely doesn't use warrior or devourer. Given that the prominent build for Ivern isn't health heavy he doesn't need the cinderhulk. He *could* buy the blue enchantment, but Ivern still isn't building a ton of AP. I might be wrong about one or two of those things, but in general the playstyle and build don't really benefit from the upgraded jungle items.
What site/tool do you recommend to look at items?
For instance I was wondering why someone who takes ignite wouldn't take smite instead, letting you buy jungle items. Junglers get powerful, is my thinking, but laners get more farm (I think), so wouldn't they get just as powerful, only faster? I know there's a good reason for this, and bet the item descriptions would tell me. Something about only working on large monsters maybe?

Yeah, sold the Talisman after a while because it just wasn't needed anymore. Support items are so good on him and he gets them so early, while Daisy brings all the damage you need.

yeah that sort of mentality of "i'm not uncool, the kids are uncool" is really weak
also considering the many different regions and languages league's available in, i'd put money on there being more people in the world that associate lol with league than laughing out loud
but yeah overall that thread is not too bad, i never step outside of this thread and steam thread because the rest of this forum is a cesspit, but at least people shitposting "who?" is not that annoying
