For Honor |OT| And shame are huge parts of it

Had a 3v1 Elimination in our favor against a nobushi, we were giving him the courtesy of fighting us one at a time (which he probably would have won tbh), but he immediately ran to a bridge to try and cheese us with knockoffs (which one guy fell for) so my friend decided to do the one thing cheesier and called the warden's mortar thing killing him instantly. That nobushi left some tears in the chat boi.

Absolute savagery.

I had a game nearly time out today because in a duel the other guy ran off to find a bridge to fight on. I wouldn't bite and waited. And waited...

Also started playing Warlord today after putting a good few hours into Orochi and Conqueror. Very cool but didn't play how I expected. The light superior block thing is hard to master.

Played this game for a while. Played it in the beta. Not sure how this game could be considered balanced whatsoever. Unblockable attacks not landing, guards not landing, guard breaking is well, completely broken. Most matches are who could throw other person off edge.

Trying to have fun and my win percentage in duels is pretty decent but man, its tough having "fun" when most of my losses and wins feel kinda cheap as opposed to any skill.

Stay out of 4v4's where the gear breaks the game even more and the chances of actually joining one from the beginning is extremely slim if you are riding solo.

I love throwing out an overhead heavy, only to cancel it and parry their attack for tasty dmg. Ugh this game so gud.

Ok so I thought I wasn't interested in this game, but after watching a few videos I thought it was something I had to give a chance, I can't really pass up some brutal medieval combat.

Having so much fun as the Lawbringer in duels, even though I'm mostly getting owned by faster characters. Still got to work out some parrying and dodging techniques. But being 2-0 down by some higher level dude who thinks he's got me easy only to throw him off a bridge is hilarious.

Anyway, here's some low level noob fighting: http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/The Last Played/video/27171977

Ad mortem inimicus!

I'm horrible at defending guardbreak. It's not even a timing thing, it's just completely forgetting about it at all. I'm so focused on everything else that I forget to keep my finger hovering over square at pretty much all times as you need to in PVP.

So what's the best mode for leveling up and loot drops? I feel like dominion gives out the most or at least from what ive seen.

And its rep 3 needed for purple drops?

What does ganking mean in this game?

^ lmao

that's exactly what happens

and if you get up, someone else will charge you off a cliff

while your team are at B fighting pawns

--had some really frustrating dominion matches just now

It would be extreamly painful...
Any Conqueror players got tips for countering the Warden's unblockable charge? It doesn't seem you can tech it, and dodging left/right seems iffy at best.

Going from lawbringer to orochi is tough. I can't get a handle on the dodge unblockable move at all.

Plus I'm not used to playing his aggressively.

Had a ten minute go on practice mode earlier and found it very satisfying. Is the single player good? Not much of an online gamer.
It's okay. Story is pretty disjointed and laughable. Beating it on realistic was a challenge if not tedious at times.

I'm not usually into multiplayer games either, but I am totally hooked on this.

Orochi doesn't have to play aggressively. The best Orochi's I've played just stand back and punish you for committing to anything.

Did anyone here get the Collectors Edition from the EU Ubisoft store?

My Samurai helmet is slightly damaged, the screw holding the headdress don't fit in its hole.

Secondly, is the faceplate meant to be removable? The noseguard piece fell off when I took it out of the box.

Dodge at best, prep for a guard break, keep pressure with light attacks is what I find best hope he's not good at parrying too

This dude is streaming kensei and answering questions and being super helpful:
https://www.twitch.tv/madness_of_alice

he also shared this from reddit:

Guardbreak after parry is guaranteed on all attacks of Warden, Conquerer, Peacekeeper, Raider, Warlord, Berserker, and Orochi |
Guardbreak after parry is guaranteed on the light attacks of Lawbringer, Valkyrie, Kensei, and Shugoki but not if their heavies are parried |
Guardbreak after parry is never guaranteed on Nobushi

that's while playing as any character

I main Warden and cannot guardbreak a Kensei and Nobushi after a successful parry unless they are backed up into a corner.

Unless I am misunderstanding. (I'm tired)

After parrying the kensei's light attack you can't guard break? Or his heavy attacks...apparently only light attack parries give that when fighting kensei
Says you can't guarantee guard break on nobushi though.

Also you can use kenshei's zone attack to attack forward both times by holding back during the first attack and then forward on the second

Ahh, I shall pay closer attention next time I fight and try it out. I tend to just use zone attack as my punish on a Nobu/Kensei parry.

Warlord is my new main. I absolutely love him.
I went 19-1 in a dominion game.

I already reached prestige rank 1with him.

So what's the best way to spend my resources? What to do with steel and the other transaction stuff? Do I dismantle gear?
