I've been following it just fine, I just don't think they magically pulled a March 10th release out of their ass.

I still think it's hilarious with the names used, they changed "27_Nier_Battletrailer_ENG_ESRB_Multi_r01.mp4" into "9_Nier_Battletrailer_ENG_ESRB_Sony_r01.mp4".

Not gonna lie all this nonsense has put me completely off for the meantime, be it PS4 or PC. I'll still pick it up later this year of course, on PC, but with Zelda next week and then other games like Mass Effect Andromeda in March too there's literally no rush to get this at all. So, when I got on GAF today and saw this video I went through a rollercoaster of emotions letting down my wall and then slowly building it back up again after reading the thread.
Let alone, like you, shady crap really dampens my hype for a game.
The game doesn't exist until the PS4 version releases. Then information on the PC version will magically appear.
Sony obviously isn't involved in this however.

And the multi platform trailer was actually encoded after the Sony trailer.
And Square still hasn't officially said anything.

It does seem like the fact that they aren't saying anything points to Sony paying for them to keep their mouth closed, and that the Steam release date in the pulled trailer is probably the correct one.
As I suspected. Buying mindshare is cheaper than buying actual exclusivity.

Can't Square just come out clear this up already? This sort of thing is annoying as this is one of my most anticipated games this year. There's so many mixed messages and misinformation.
Platinum games deserves better than whatever the hell is going on right now. I'm really annoyed and it makes me not want to buy their game because whatever practice is going on. ITS SCUMMY.

We've seen this frequently, Sony agrees to shoulder the marketing cost to mitigate the risk. In return, the publisher has what amounts to an NDA on any other version of the game.
By contractual obligation, they cannot clear this up.
The game is coming out on the 10th, be glad we know that much.
