I'm about to finish region 5 and the level design is quite refreshing in comparison to regions 3-4, really liked that Sekigahara level. I also love how the game is starting to throw mid-level bosses more usually, it's a nice change of pace

You, me, and like one other guy in this thread liked Sekigahara.

I'm doing what I can to affect my luck now. I meant I had killed 8 throughout my playthrough so far without trying to farm.

After re reading your post I got the wrong interpretation. My bad. But 8 times without even trying and maybe no luck on your character is for me not something out of the ordinary. The times I killed umobuzuzuzuzuzurururulululukukukupupupoo and Nuezappidizapp in co op and not getting the items way surpasses it.

it was all great. i take any level that isn't so fucking dark.

Hahaha, on my way to get my final material for the Master of Quality trophy, I incidentally no-damage kill the third to last boss in a single parry + follow-up. Carnage Talisman is fucking crazy, yo.

What the actual fuck is the (last region spoiler)
Orochi
boss fight? Am I supposed to run around constantly? Seriously? That fight was the first time I got the discord debuff on myself. I think I'll try again tomorrow.

No just
take care of each head one by one. Bait one into doing an attack, run away from it and immediately dash to it's "neck" where you'll be able to get 4 or 5 hits in. Be mobile as the other heads will constantly try to hit you with fireballs and stuff.

You can also
bait them to break the amrita stones. They fall down to the floor stunned and you have enough time to kill a head. Really easy that way

Yeah, that came as a total shock, actually. I love how interested into Japanese history this game has gotten me.

Literally me, yesterday. Can't wait to get back home and claim my plat :3

It's so stupid. The twilight I'm missing, I had the opportunity to do it like 3 days ago. I literally had my cursor hovering over it, and then I got sidetracked by something on the internet and didn't come back to the game until the twilights changed.

Edit: Oh right, the weekly clan battle ended. My color lost, but wooo, I was rank 49 in my clan and rank 3600-ish in the world for glory.

And now my clan color has switched to red, which is what Toyotomi is currently, so I'm guaranteed to win this week, lol.

Finally finished my last twilight mission and got the platinum.
Still doesn't feel like this game is going to let me go.
I got the platinum last week and I'm on the same boat. I might start a SL1 run or whatever (and I'm not into SL1 stuff at all), or even buy another game to see if it takes my mind off it.

The last game I had such a hard time letting go of was Bloodborne.

If only co-op worked just a bit better, just randomly visiting people to help out would suffice.

Other Shore mission is just nuts. So much health and RTSD behaviour. I can get
Oda down sometimes
but that takes all my elixirs so no chance to beat the entire fight.

I actually have 2 other games(Yakuza 0 and Kiseki) I want to get to but then while playing those my mind drifts towards progressing in Nioh be it levels or gear. x_X

You having problems? All my co-op issues went away when I turned on the option to only match me with people in a certain region. Silky smooth since then.
No technical issues, just how it's a 50% chance I'll be summoned to escort someone through an entire mission as they break every crate and figure out the way out instead of actually help with something.

If the game had a distinction between "spot" and co-op summon it'd be perfect.

So much this. I would love to help all day, but I don't want to look at people opening and exploring everything

This is why I wish every mission had a twilight version. By the time people do the Twilight stuff, they're usually just interested in killing things and killing the boss, which is the fun stuff.

Hopefully we're able to co-op the 10 super hard missions they're adding as a free update.

I did it today and I must have died around 50 times(I had 110 deaths for the whole game until that point...). I just
baited Oda away from Yuki as much as I could, and slowly got his health down while giving her a few hits here and there when she'd chase after me, but I mainly focused on Oda for the first part of the fight. Of course you also have to watch her projectiles which can fuck you up if you stand still too long or try to go in for a killing strike on Oda. In the end I did it easy with 5 elixirs left, but yeah it can be a right cunt of a fight if things don't go your way early.

Way ahead on you of that. 74 deaths and counting lmao. I just can't deal with everything that happens around me and the amount of life they have is so high. Final blows not having much invincibility fucks me up big time too.

If you managed to get
Oda
down I think you should be able to beat Yuki Onna even without elixirs. Just wait for her to do her charge move, dodge backwards and immediately rush towards her. She's also pretty vulnerable after doing her staff throw.

You would think that but no. Not going to happen. That is by far the hardest boss in the game if we count this one out.

Jesus, I totally underestimated the Tenacity stat on living weapons. I'd never waited until I was at less than 30% hp to activate. If you do, even without TRYING to do an infinite living weapon thing, I managed to get it to last several minutes.

MFW I come across a youtube comment saying "I am not going to buy this game because it's a straight up copy of dark souls and buying it would be disrespectful to dark souls"

what does tenacity do?

I'm not sure, but could the issue be that you do not have the required minimum stats for the armor? if you look at the armor pieces, right at the bottom it should say what stats you need to get the effects.

Sounds like you don't meet the stat requirement to wear the item to get the bonus. When you look at the item, look at the bottom of the list and there's a strength and skill stat that you might be too low on.

At the very bottom of the armors info you'll see their stat requirements. The ones you don't meet will be red. Until you meet those, you won't get the specials from those armors, including them being counted as part of the set.

A later side mission to Tome will increase your options in that regard.

Thank you all! I don't know how I could miss it.

Tenacity buffs all the effects of your living weapon if you activate when your health is at 30% or lower. Buffing its effects apparently also means making it last for fucking ever if you've got a Guardian Spirit equipped with a tenacity rating of A+ (which Paired Raiken does).

Is there a way to extend the duration of elemental (or poison) weapon buffs? See a lot of videos with people having them on for ages, and mine barely last at all.
