yeah Nioh's great. I've been eyeing Yakuza 0 but I haven't actually played any of the other Yakuza games so I dunno if I have to play the other games first or what the deal is

PS4 and PC, Switch incoming though

Well you got BotW in a week and two days. That should be more than enough.

Label

The Amiga Brotherhood
Nier: Automata comes out next week, the demo was pretty great for that!

Also you guys were correct Nioh is excellent, I am loving it at the moment.

Nier Automata isn't out til 3/7 though,
and hopefully that trailer was correct and it really is 3/10 on PC. I don't have a PS4 and really want to play it.

Nier: Automata looks interesting, but it's too close to Zelda for me :/

What does everyone think is the current worst hero?

Techies as an answer is a cop-out

techies is good now I think

my answer would be Arc Warden
just from winrate stats and word of mouth, have not actually played him after 7.00

also I cannot for life get Phantom Lancer to work out in a game, so honorable mentions to that dude

Doom? Faceless Void (although tbh I'm unsure of this one as I really don't get the newfangled way of playing him for the last few years)?

I was looking through heroes that might be the worst, and at first I thought about Meepo, then I realized I forgot about this from 7.00:

- Divided We Stand clones now share full attributes without Scepter.

I haven't played Meepo for a few patches now, how is he these days?

Apparently really good, some teams have first picked him pro-play, and quite a few of pro players like Arteezy and Miracle have started to practice him a lot so that they too can have it as a pocket pick. The new change made him really strong.

Dota comparison ryzen 1700 vs intel 7700k
https://youtu.be/3rUndzpdo1I?t=7m29s
AMD wins

This might segue into a question I have here: My overclocked i5 2500k idles at high temps, and I have tried reinstalling my hyper 212+ cooler so many damn times. Every single time I clean off and re-apply the thermal paste, and I put the thing on the die, and then of course it slides a bit when I try to get the stupid mounting bracket under it. How do you do this without sliding the thing around?

I love when a first pick riki whines and bitches all game that the other team picked a slardar and bounty hunter.

I also love it when that same riki stands far away from fights because he's afraid there are wards, then runs in to use cloud when everyone on our team is dead, and then proceeds to get curbstomped by slardar who 2 shots him.

This is the dota I love.

Doom getting better talents have really helped him. I agree with Arc Warden.

Worse patch than 6.83?

If this image is supposed to be 6.83, shouldn't it include Sniper and Troll?

I've said it before: 7.00 is a great patch and a nice change of pace for the game. Honestly every patch since 6.84 I have enjoyed. 6.83 was the only one in recent memory I particularly hated. That and the TI4 one.

I only like this patch cause all my heroes are good. So I feel like I gotta play this patch before doom and techies are put back in the dumpster.

it's a bad patch if you hate the teamwork aspect of playing a teamwork heavy game

like if you prefer to try to carry 1v9 through sheer economical means this is probably not a fun patch for you

Just had the longest game ever, 70 minutes long. First real game with Shadow Demon as Dire and pulled a surprise come back. Spent about 20 minutes mid-game resisting their high ground attempt. One good team fight then we steamroll mid tower then control the game instead.

Yeah, definitely my case. Approaching Dota 2 like a single-player game was the best and the fact that a team game allowed you to do so and be relatively successful even, was amazing. 6.83 was complete ass obviously but it was just a matter of time until the terrible parts of the patch were nerfed, even though it took too long in the end. It would take dozens of changes for 7xx to be enjoyable to me which I don't see happening. Fighting and teamwork cease being fun when they're virtually the only viable way to win. It got old like 10 games in.

If you're approaching dota 2 as a single-player game then you're doing it wrong.

There are no ifs and buts, this game is meant to be played as a team.

Yep, most games turn out like that and it can get very frustrating.

But once in a while you'll have a good team where your teammates pick sensibly, and you'll gel as a team, and you'll win - it's those games that actually keep you coming back for more.

I don't see how I did it wrong when I had fun with it and got into the 99% percentile. My Dota time has been a complete success all things considered and now that the game turned to shit, Playstation 4 is shitting out A class games on a weekly basis. Life's good.

I don't really think 7.00> is bad but I find myself wanting to watch more (preferably pro) dota than play it

although I have become like that to most games I play these days ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I'm definitely attending ESL One Germany this fall. I also enjoy watching streams.
I love the downtime between pro stuff. So many good streams up over the usual sing and bulldog crap. I'll take Purge and merlini style streams any day
