Sooooooooo......

What're you guys spending your energy on these days?

Or your lapis on these days?

Saving for something? Energy Refills?

TMs.

Always TMs.

My lapis is being spent on nothing. I have nearly 50k now because I don't do refills or dailies.

Just waiting on the big three tbh.

OT, but, anyone hopping on the Switch/BotW train Friday?

Nah, one game isn't enough for a new system in my opinion, and after being burned by the Wii U (Had some great games, just not many) my faith in Nintendo is lost until the thing has been out for awhile. I also don't game on handhelds so I need to see how the Switch truly is as a home console cause it won't ever leave that fucking dock.

Got people on GameFAQs claiming someone already has a Ring of Dominion and is not an injector.

Says it took roughly 140 of each of the lesser rings to get the mats and dropped lapis like mad for insta-crafts.

Player is rank 104.

I don't believe it.

I'm really not into day 1 consoles, there always seems to be some sort of major bug. I will pick up a Switch but probably in 2018. PS4 has come out guns blazing this year so it has my focus. Plus the Switch is horribly overpriced in the UK.

OT, but, anyone hopping on the Switch/BotW train Friday?

I will in April or May. In March I'll be on military orders and effectively working that job and my civilian job, so I'll be time-limited... and need to finish FFXV. But I'll be using those 2 paychecks to buy a Switch. I'm an unmitigated Nintendo fanboy.

With Nintendo it's smart to wait until there are around 6 games already out you really want to play in the hopes you'll have a pulse on if the system is about to die ;p

I think I'll likely finish Tales of Berseria tonight in which case I'll be free for Horizon and or Story of Seasons. Too bad he's not on to read this right now most likely but shout out to Shouta who's post was the largest factor in me pulling the trigger on Berseria after not playing the series since Abyss. I recommend Berseria if you're into JRPGs. It has a really solid story with well done characters which is a recipe for striking the feels. Very glad I picked it up.

Ahem, so I imagine we're expecting this week's updates to be Zero Banner pt.2 and Gilgamesh trial, yeah? We're due for a king mog event after all.

That is a lot of mats... absurd to even have the mats for something like that injector or not~

I too have Beseria, I love the change up for combat and a lot of the other little changes from play Zestiria

Isn't that....impossible from a time standpoint? Wouldn't that take a stupid amount of time?

140each * 3rings *3days / 3 slots?

Got rid of my early copy of Horizon just so I could focus on Switch/BotW. Probably all I'll play until Mass Effect.

That sounds like my exact plan. TM farming in all the while

See I passed on the Wii U so I am just going in on the Switch. The lady and I are getting 1-2-Switch as well just to pretend like we aren't old boring adults so I am telling myself that makes it ok to buy a launch console when I really only want Zelda

I mean I am all for day 1 consoles. Bought PS2/3/4 all day one. I did wait on the Pro a few months. Wii U day 1. Gamecube/N64/Wii all day 1. I was too young for the SNES so I had to wait for Christmas for that and my Genesis. Dreamcast day 1 and so on. So this is the first Nintendo console I won't be getting day 1 since the SNES and I never buy Xbox consoles until they are a few years old as I couldn't give a shit about most of the exclusives. The Switch intrigues me as I want to be able to play the games they release on DS/3DS without having to play them on an emulator or an actual handheld. I literally hate handhelds with an absolute passion I am actually surprised I play anything on my phone because of it. Anyway, I would probably get the Switch day 1, but it literally has 5 physical games being released with it...I mean what the actual hell? Hopefully in a few months I will have seen enough to get one. I love Zelda but Skyward Sword also sucked in my opinion so no rush for me this time.

Theoretically it's possible if they've been stocking up on mats for all the rings for the past few months. That's the part that makes it unbelievable to me though, because that requires doing assloads of explorations, which as far as I know is hard/impossible to macro. The actual crafting and using lapis is totally believable, as per some of the people that are on my friends list and made it through the injector culling.

Yup, Wii U destroyed my faith in Nintendo too. Bought every Nintendo system since gameboy/nes days, but might skip the Switch. If they have more than a just a small handful of Nintendo exclusives, I'll pick one up in a couple of years on black friday.

I couldn't buy a Switch right now even if I wanted to. Sold out everywhere.

I'm just taking a wait and see approach. I'll consider it in 2 or 3 months.

NRG goes to daily quests, just a few Maze runs then the rest is TM farming :) as for lapis, mainly a couple of refills each day.

And yes :) getting the Switch at launch. I got to play it at a press event and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to getting into Breath of the Wild, especially after those reviews. Playing Final Fantasy V until then, just need to get to the Earth Shrine haha.

Current TM farming team :)

I'm now going with fusing 4 units at a time where I have quite a few, dupes are starting to annoy me:

v53JGEPl.png

Oh we get a 5% Trust Moogle tomorrow right? May have to use that on my next unit I want to 100% instead (Shine).

How the hell is that guy only rank 104? With the amount of lapis refreshes he would have to do doing all those explorations I couldn't imagine them not being 150.

Edit: Actually I just remembered they capped it at 100 until a few months ago. Still only 4 levels in that amount of time?

I'll get it eventually, but the more I see the lineup and future games, I am interested in it for sure. I just... sigh... wish that... since ya know its cartridges ANYWAYS! Had a slot for the ds/3ds games and I could play on my tv ; ; That would have been amazing.

Oh, so there will be a person with that ring.

:/

I don't even know what to say.

So you spend 1000 lapis to speedcraft one ring... And you have 400 of those?

...Alright then, that Guy have my respect

**IF** that's not a hack, the sheer amount of lapis thrown away on instant crafts is mindbloggling.

One pic shows that he has 7 and some fraction stacks of hero rings. Looking at the full stacks, he has 693 rings, at 300 lapis per instant craft = 207,900 lapis on instant crafts of hero rings.

A second pic shows that this person needed 685 upgrades for the ring mats, at 300 lapis per instant craft, equals = 205,500 lapis spent.

So, total, that's (207,900 + 205,500) = 413,400 lapis spent on instant crafts ALONE.

$100 USD buys 18,000 lapis.

Therefore, (413,400 / 18,000) = 22.97 packs --> 23 packs * $100 = $2,300 spent ALONE on instant crafts.

And that doesn't even count all the energy spent on gathering all those megacrysts.

That's one hell of an analytical anomaly. Calling severe BS on this being legit and not a hack.

$375 buys 90000 lapis on amazon, more with the kick back. Spending 2grand on a gacha game isn't unbelievable in the slightest. Several players are spending that a month.

Let's suppose for a moment it's real. There's only a couple explainations:

1) Rich person that wants to show off.

2) Rich person that's curious.

3) Rich person that just doesn't care.

Or some combination of the above. I mean, if you're wealthy enough, and you felt like it, you could get a world first through sheer resource.

I can see it, just to be the first.

Having an olive means I actually have to care about guns.

The gunsmith in grandshelt is full of crap right? I can't bring a gun in there and I expect to be able to buy additional ones right?

Could even be a hack doing it for science, just to see what it'd take normally... (not to mention just cause you say you're not a cheater, doesn't mean you aren't actually cheating)

@zippedpinhead nothing stops you from using a hammer until you have an actual good gun either.

Good points. Let's very broadly consider the other half of the equation here that I didn't calculate. How expensive would it be to obtain the materials for 700 hero rings + the upgrade mats for nearly 700 more? That's what... tens of thousands of megacrysts (without busting out all the math)?

Could even be a hack doing it for science, just to see what it'd take normally... (not to mention just cause you say you're not a cheater, doesn't mean you aren't actually cheating)

More problematic here is that this person is only Rank 104. Fire Shrine came out after the rank cap increase. So, at over 500 rank xp per run, it's literally impossible to only have obtained 4 ranks over obtaining tens of thousands of megacrysts. There's a possible argument that all of these megacrysts were obtained before the level cap increase, but that would mean that they were obtained through even MORE inefficient means on previous islands.

If this was not a hack, then this ring easily cost over $10,000 USD to create.

I suppose it is possible technically via someone with far too much disposable income who has ran a macro since launch just farming early explorations via Nox/Memu, but the Rank 104 anomaly really makes me doubt that the ring was obtained legitimately even via the mother of all lunar whales.

We've know the mats since they were put in last year. We also had a few extremely good events that included them. It's not impossible when he has 8 months to save for it.

Just a curious thought, what if, they farmed the hell out of the CNY event? That was a mixed bag on what you got, but DID give megacrysts like crazy... How would that have looked for energy / exp ratio?

Yup.

The only halfway non-TM gun that is remotely decent is the Candy gun from the Xmas event. Otherwise, your best bet is TM farming her gun.

Yeah the rank thing is my biggest wtf part of it. We got the rank change in November so 3ish months ago. You mean to tell me that the person only ranked up 4 times in 3 months? Nah I'm not buying that.

Edit: He also has shit tons of TM's so he had to farm those somehow as well. So that is more rank XP. Granted he would get some skill ups doing those explorations but not anywhere near enough.

Does anyone with JP insight know if there's TM's that give Mag atk and HP? Because FML mage HP is too damn low! Coming up with various teams for Gilga trial and I look at my Emperor and try to squeeze him in there for shits and giggles but his HP is just too low. If I take away a mag +30% his damage will suffer. Does it ever get any better for mages in the future?

This really isn't that unbelievable at all. The dude has all the necessary pre-requisite mats and hero rings you would need. He has the total number of crafted tier 2/3/4 rings that would get you the needed mats. The *only* questionable aspect is him being rank 104. It is possible to have gathered all this stuff prior to the cap being raised, but even then he only gained 4 ranks since the cap is raised, which seems unlikely for a whale. I really don't think the financial cost to instant craft or refresh NRG is out of line for the amount a typical whale spends, and this doesn't bother me at all. The rank 104 thing is a yellow flag, and that is the only reason I have to doubt the legitimacy. All that being said, seems very possible this is legit.

It's somewhat plausible, given that this person could have instant combined Hero Rings as soon as their inventory filled up.

Just a curious thought, what if, they farmed the hell out of the CNY event? That was a mixed bag on what you got, but DID give megacrysts like crazy... How would that have looked for energy / exp ratio?

INT would have been the most efficient per energy during the CNY event. Exvius Wiki says that it paid 105 rank xp per run.

So, 700 hero rings...

That's 7000 ice and fire megacrysts needed. I ran INT during CNY for a good while. Output was quite random and maybe comparable to a Fire Shrine run in terms of randomness. Also, keep in mind that only 3 nodes actually yielded megacrysts there.

Rank 103 = 1.7m total exp / 105 rank xp = 16.2k INT CNY runs

If we assume a long-run average of 1 fire and ice mega per run (highly generous), then the result is plausible.

If we assume that the long-run average was 2 runs for 1 fire and ice mega (given that the drops were split 8 ways across all colors from the 3 nodes), the result is possible but more dubious.

In that case, the account would have been created during the CNY event, was constantly fed lapis without limit, and ran on a Nox/Memu exploration macro and ran that event non-stop for all 7 days consecutively, only stopping for instant crafting of hero rings. Still possible, but man is that on the extreme edge of even being remotely technically possible.

And then, you need even more megacrysts for the ring upgrades on top of this...

Agreed. That is the one element that is severely out of place here. It doesn't make sense given the sheer amount of farming needed to gather over ten thousand of several colors of megacrysts.

Thanks for going through all that... It's like I WANT to believe that money trumped over the barriers of time... but it's questionable for sure. If by chance it's legit, that's awesome. Course, I just thought of this part, if it was a fairly new account, the chances of having 70 trophies already is ridiculously low too
