I want to turn off the yellow icons on my screen. I've tried everything on the HUd options menu. I really just want to explore and not have yellow diamonds telling me where to go. Is this possible?

Oh fuck don't tell me that, I hate waypoints, and games that are designed around them even more.

I wish there was a bit more direction to finding the side quests at times. Sometimes they'll unlock at a random location you've already been too, but you'll have no idea it's there unless you go back.

I don't know what the hell I'm doing but this first sawtooth is kicking my fucking ass over and over.

I just dumped a ton of trip wires on his route and then took advantage while he was down getting critical strikes in. Remember to dodge! This was on hard.

Does anyone else think the waypoint system needs some improvement? Whenever I'm about to reach a checkpoint I can't tell whether I'm supposed to go right or left upon reaching it because it just does not show it. Usually I pick the wrong route and need to turn around, which gets annoying very quickly. Am I missing something?

I've actually had the waypoint stuff turned off since I began, I just get the diamond on the compass, but I turned off the two guide options in settings, trying to allow myself to take the world in and really see the geography.

So just turn off the waypoint stuff in options, and then just deactivate the current quest in the quest menu and that will leave you without one I believe. You can still travel to and do the quest and you have to turn it off again every now and again when the game will pop it back up, but for general exploration you'll be free of it.

Same. Also bumped up the difficulty to Hard. Highly recommended doing both.

Does the healing herb bar fill multiple times? I swear I depleted it completely but then it went straight back up to full immediately without me doing anything, like it was on to bar 2 or something.
Yes. At the start you can fill the healing bar twice, and when it fills the first time you'll see a little green cross appear under it.

Is anyone else's waypoints guide always going bonkers? Ill be going to the waypoint and all of a sudden it'll decide to bring me in the complete opposite direction I always end up at the objective but it seems to make you take the weirdest/longest ways?!

Yes, waypoints kinda direct you in intended paths. You could skip them if you know the end goal.

I forget the exact name but the Banuk armor with the skull head piece and mostly blue clothing is really slick looking, love it.

Yes, just go into quests and deactivate them all. Granted, I would like an option to disable the 3D markers too (and I expect one in a patch probably) but for now that's the only way to do it.

Do merchants sell the same thing once you level up enough?

Can I unlock every skill point in the game? Or is there a level cap

Played a few hours last night. Great start, did a few side quests after the training montage, did some hunting and gathering, haven't touched the main quest yet.

At the moment it feels a lot like Far Cry Primal, which may or may not be a good thing. I loved Far Cry Primal at the start, convinced it was the best game ever because of the novelty of the setting, but then the game got real repetitive, I was probably 3/4 into the game but couldn't bear to finish it.

Hope Horizon won't turn out the same way.

Is anyone else getting an issue where music drops during cutscenes? I'm still in the tutorial mission for hunting and cutscene music has been starting and immediately dropping a few seconds after.

So I'm just past the intro section and I like the game but I've been experiencing some pretty obnoxious screen tearing. I'm playing the checkerboard mode in 4K HDR on an LG OLED B6. Is anyone else having this issue?

Bumped up the difficulty to very hard from hard. Let's see how this is. Hard was pretty good, so I'm not sure I'll stick with very hard.

The first sawtooth fight was too easy for me though on hard.

Install is taking foreverrrrr. I haven't taken Nioh out of the Pro since I bought and I'm excited to play some Horizon.

EDIT: Alright I'm already blown away by the opening cutscene. Geez

This didn't happen to me but the music did dropped on me while exploring. Also, for anyone that's using the Sony Gold Wireless headset, I highly recommend creating your own profile and raise the Bass, Treble and Mid to max. Sounds so much better than any other profiles. I'm surprised there's no HZD profile for the headset though.

So how does fast travel work? I have campfires unlocked, but when I go to the map I don't see a fast travel button.

BTW this game is really fun and looks amazing in 4K HDR.
