Could just return them to Walmart. They don't require a receipt. It'll turn into store credit though, but it's more versatile there than a gamestop
True.
Edit: I excitedly told the wife, who instantly shut it down lol.

Seems to be plenty available in New Zealand:

But at $550 that shouldn't surprise anyone.
Can't be too good, every store I've visited is sold out of Zelda.
No luck so far in Oakville-Mississauga area (Ontario). Tried a bunch of bestbuys and EB games and they won't say when they will restock. Have had Zelda since the third so it hurts even more not to find one lol.
Expect a lot of people to return these in the next week. Stock will be there.
Don't buy from a scalper. Not for this.
Return the lot with a partial store credit/debit refund and then buy it individually after returning it?Gross. Guess I'm waiting.
It never works. Is there not a way to set Amazon to email me when they get some in stock? I don't see it.

I called Gamestop today hoping against hope to score a system.
The clerk told me that Gamestop (all of them, I guess) aren't getting any more units until Easter!
Does this sound plausible, or was the clerk just tired of getting Switch calls?

He maybe correct. If you look at there website they have a preorder bundle for switch and says delivery by April 16th.
Zelda has DLC coming though *insertmindgifhere*Vidya gamers are also notorious for doing things like buying a console, playing the 1 game they want to play, and then returning it. Because of the Switch's launch lineup of Zelda, I can see a lot of people finishing Zelda, being like wat do now, and just returning it after they are done.
Even more on Craigslist in DFW today. 189 listings. They aren't selling on craigslist. I expect more will store availability will be everywhere within 2 weeks.
I really don't want to hear about stock problems in the US, I was able to get 4 units with little to no effort.
One of the store of my city here in Italy, every retailer i've visited had almosf full stock of switch, even gamestop.

So not sold out everywhere = doing bad
As opposed to Nintendo is doing better on supply and not trying to create artificial shortages?
Wish I would have known yesterday. Would have given you mine before I returned it. They are easy to find in DFW if you go to the stores when they first open. Can't find a single one around the DFW area. All sold out.
I live in a small town in northern Ontario and i can tell you no console or game has ever been sold out here around launch ever, but today i checked Best buy, eb games, walmart, toys r us and stables and all of them are out of stock.
It's either this thing is selling like hotcakes or Nintendo really undershipped.
I know that the two Brisbane EB Games here in Australia are all sold out of their first shipments. However Target, Big W and JB all have a ridiculous amount of stock lying around. Might be due to people not associating gaming with those retailers.
They are selling on ebay for ~$400

After fees and all that I can't imagine scalpers are making much if anything?
My local best buy, (Indianapolis,IN area), had 8 gray and 1 neon this morning. I was 1 of 8 waiting at the door, the last unit got snagged shortly after opening by a mom and her teenage son. Had about 10 copies of Zelda, was blown away that not everyone bought a copy. Hardly any accessories though. Didn't have any cases or screen protectors.
Which one??? I'm in Avon and my store didn't have any.
After taxes and eBay's 10%....Roughly $30?
Actually, it was the Avon store.
Nintendo fucked up by not having a sticker seal
You can easily put everything back in the box and return it :/
It's not just gamers, people do this all the time with items
I remember my friend used to wear clothes with the tags attached then return it

You can return a console opened for full refund at most stores so don't see why it matters.
