So I just chatted with Amazon re that price error. God that lady on the other side was fucking unhelpful. All her talk amounted to "tough luck buddy" and it took her like 10 minutes every time to respond.

Chat won't help anyway, I never had any good experiences with them. Try Email/Phone.
 
FNAC now shows the Switch as "soon back in stock" and ready to be shipped by March 10th. I mean, they are just bullshitting us right? Nobody can tell me that they need 5 days to ship a system. I think my Switch was never in stock - still no tracking information for that DHL number I got five days ago ;-)

Pretty sure I am going to get a Switch from the second shipment.

Did anybody have any luck getting a proper answer from their customer support?

No, but I'm in the same situation. At least I finally got the 40€ disount on my card and used it to buy Zelda (Propably the last thing I'll ever buy there).
Well, I don't really care since I won't be able to pick it up for another few weeks anyway. But sucks for everybody who wanted to get one at launch.

Amazon shipped my stuff on Saturday (god, what a painful wait) and it was supposed to arrive tomorrow. Lo and behold, my Switch and Zelda are ready to be picked up at my Paketstation just across the street!!

Can't understand the hate Hermes gets :>

Around here Hermes does not really deliver themselves. They only use "Subunternehmer" to do that. The one we got where I live is amazing. Same guy for like 12 years now, always on time. But YMMV greatly. Happy for you though, Zelda is amazing.

I've sent them a rant on Twitter today to @FnacVousAide over direct message. I have had 3 replies from them in other occasions (always in English). Let's see if they answer this one. Probably not.

Yeah I'm pretty sure we're getting second batch consoles. Which for me can even mean next week, unfortunately.

I think I'm going to create a thread about the whole situation. Won't help matters at all but Fnac deserves that small sand dust of badmouthing. What a horrible company.

Good idea. Count me in! They are just bullshitting customers in the worst way.
This is not even about not getting the Switch on launch day. This is about not being able to cancel the order because they are lying about it being "in transit" when clearly they simply don't have it in stock. Bullshit.

I agree. I had issues with Amazon.de and got nowhere with the chat lady. I called and got a little angry on the phone and they gave me 30€ discount on my Switch order. It arrived only today but sadly I'm not home until friday evening.

I'm trying to get a Switch at one of the 3 MediaMarkts near me tomorrow morning. I'm pretty confident I can get one. Where I live, smaller city in the south of Germany, I've never seen anyone with a 3DS in public and the gaming shelves are always well stocked, even after the launch of new titles and consoles. There's still a dozen PS4 Pros lying around. I feel like there's not many gamers around here lol.

I hope I'm right, I really want that Switch tomorrow. Already have Zelda at home, bought it a few days ago when it was 55€ on Amazon.

Anyone here who bought a Switch "im Laden" today?

Everything worked out pretty much perfectly for me. I just sold my second Switch from Amazon.fr with a small margin. Nothing huge, but enough for my effort to get one from another country and the back and forth with the customer service.

Amazon.de delivered on launch day with everything I ordered. Switch works amazingly well, console feels tailor made for me (often on the train). Zelda and the Pro Controller are a brilliant combination and I like the controller so much that I'll order a second one when Mario Kart comes around.

1-2-Switch was delivered to work and I played a few rounds with my coworkers. We loved it. Not worth 50 Euro at all, but for 35? Must buy with the system. I'm sure I'll get by till MK8 Deluxe with those 2 games (and KoF98).

Since all this worked out so well, I think I'll order Mario Kart 8 from amazon.fr too. 10 Euro less sounds fine to me.

Waiting for my switch since last thursday.
This delay is unacceptable but a refund would be nice.

What did you say? I wrote them an E-Mail and they simply told me "Preisfehler" and can't give me this price.
Not much, I said a Support guy promised me this price when I asked if the price is correct. They checked my Chat history from that day.
I think if you didnt contact the support on the day of the mistake, there is no way you'll get the price. If you did contact them, it depends on the specific conversation.

So I saw them being available for orde ron amazon.de and I tried my luck. No date yet but at least not some shady aftermarket deal.

I got it for 178€ too. I tried it four times. with my last e-mail I got an answer from an Executive Customer Relations person.

Edit: a friend of mine also got the 178€ Price yesterday.

I live in Hanau near Frankfurt/Main and it is impossible to get the Switch in store. Didn't expect it to be this way.

Local Medi Max removed all Switch promotional material from their store since it's completely sold out. Only things they have in stock are two copies of 1-2-Switch and some crappy Starter Kit with a case and stuff like that.
 
Picked mine up on friday at saturn, they had 18 reserved for preorders and 12 for "freier Verkauf" and when I was there the already sold out all consoles, all accesoires and controllers and all of Zelda.

i have the feeling that most units went to the USA, Nintendo-friendly countries like France and maybe UK because they are always special.

the number for Germany seems to be rather small.
