PS4 version release date I think. Not sure why that is on the Steam page

Yeah, I'm not quite sure why Steam does this sometimes, but I kind of appreciate it, as it's classier to list the actual release date of the game instead of the Steam induction date. It makes it clear games like STAR WARS: Rogue Squadron or Turok 1 are original classics (even if they are vastly repaired for their PC re-release) rather than brand new games competing on a modern level. Steam doesn't always do it this way, though; sometimes games found on other stores retain their Steam date, but then again, Dead Rising 4 has been available on the Windows Store since December yet the date of March 14, 2017 (though that's the "Availability Date", I'm not sure if that resets once the game actually becomes available?)

In any case, UMvC 3 is good times, and I'm glad that fighting games have developed a community on PC.

Really hoping some enterprising fans get in there and replace the netcode with something functional. Would give the game a serious future.

Wait it's out already? For some reason I thought it was coming out later this month.

Good ol' GAF.

Looks like I can't run this on my crappy laptop without experiencing slowdown. Major bummer. USFIV runs just fine :(

As great as this is, I can't put down money on this yet. Especially since the idea of massive combos you can't get out of makes me want to pulverize my controller just thinking about it.

The game mechanics haven't changed for years, so you're probably better off waiting for a sale.

Doing massive combos is one thing but being able to do them right from the beginning of the round is just way too much. Often you will see players lose a character or more just because of who landed the first hit when the round opened.

In most other games you would at least need to spend some time building resources to do something like that but no here.

I've been anticipating this more than the Switch. After about an hour of playing I am happy to say this port is everything I hoped it would be. Everyone knew the port was always going to be pretty decent considering Marvel is running on the MT Framework engine. Who knows, maybe we'll see a re-balance mod in the future!

If anyone wants to see some PC gameplay, I captured some here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd0U-Mhrl7g

People in Steam reviews saying the game is having trouble with X360/X1 controllers, anyone confirm?

I used my SFxT 360 arcade stick and had no issues whatsoever.

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
I haven't had issues with my DS3 outside of input feeling "off"/laggy-ish.

Really really loving this port, I'm so happy to finally have this on PC. Had a lot of really smooth matches online, and I didn't even need a Gold subscription!

Big thanks to Marvel and Capcom for coming through on this with very good results.

Hey, good new for GPD WIN owners, it actually plays quite well on 800x600, without making any tweaks, just changing the settings to low. I didn't have time to check the configuration files to see what can be improved, but first impressions are quite good. :)

Wait, is that an option or is this by default?

EDIT: I'm dumb, clearly it's an option, didn't realise first pic had the outlines

kind of an option- just disabled it in the EXE itself. it's not an in-game option or anything.

anyways, unsurprisingly marvel still looks really, REALLY good

Anyone know what the VFX setting actually impacts? Hitsparks and pyrotechnics look about the same on low and high.

Time to go into the .ini and see if I can tone down those more obscuring effects :p
