The Gerudo boss was kind of bullshit btw. Dodging those attacks was annoying as hell and he hit like a truck, plus he takes so many hits that my Master Sword actually ran out of energy. Still, he was probably the best Divine Beast boss in the game.

Pretty easy to cheese if you use a guardian or wooden shield because it will stand still for a few secs after it hits your shield.

With a metal shield in second phase it will end badly tho.

I went to the
Forgotten
Temple. There was a shrine inside. I reached it which is fine and dandy but I avoided the 20 some decayed Guardians. Without the ancient arrow would there have been a legit way of me taking them on? I know you can parry but I hardly ever succeed, but more importantly you usually have two or 3 aiming at once so it would be a problem anyways.

I feel as though maybe there is some kind of tactic I could have applied, but maybe it's just brutally ruthless and the idea is to run like hell from cover to cover?

Your hopes will be crushed if you're expecting a traditional Zelda dungeon. If you're just expecting another cool section of the game, you should enjoy it .
I enjoyed the puzzles in Divine Beast Vah Ruta.

Divine Beast Vah Medoh, not so much.

Great themed dungeons nonetheless. Enjoy them more than the shrines.

Well after over forty hours I've finally reached my first dungeon. Got high hopes for this.

Dial those hopes down a tad. The dungeons are not the high point of this game.

I enjoyed the puzzles in Divine Beast Vah Ruta.

Divine Beast Vah Medoh, not so much.

Van Medoh was so easy, I almost felt insulted they thought this passed as a dungeon. Like they blew all their good wind themed puzzles on the surrounding shrines.

It was the fastest dungeon I've ever did. From enter to boss was <10 minutes, and I know because I had a 10 minute cold resistance when I entered which never ran out

You can just
shoot them with arrows if you have enough.

I actually cleared out that area, got to the end and a blood moon happened when I came out of the shrine. Suddently 8 lasers pointed at me lol.

Avoiding them in that section is part of the challenge and what makes it so fun. Most people won't even try to fight them.

I tried it and found out it didn't work :/. Now I'm wondering, after you actually have it, can you trade some of your hearts away to that statue for stamina and still be able to use the sword?

Yeah, you can. I haven't tested it, but some dude in here beat the game with the sword and only 7 hearts.

Awesome, I'm planning to do the same thing as well. I've gotten more confident in my combat abilities so I should be fine with 9 hearts for a while. Really want to add more stamina.

Oh god. I would have been furious. Luckily I've never had the blood moon appear at a difficult time.

wait wait wait... the music in the trailer isn't in the game?

Huh. So it's not used in the game itself at all? Strange, it's so good.

Thanks though.

I'm not sure if it shows up in later in the game but I haven't heard it yet. It just wasn't included on the soundtrack that came with the Special and Master Editions.

I'm too scared to search for it on YouTube in fear of spoilers lol

43 hours
58 Shrines
14 hearts, 2 1/5 circles of stamina
3 dungeons
6/18 recovered memories
6 sidequests

I might go for endgame after beating my last dungeon and recover all memories

Will probably get the last of the shrines later. Not bothering with the Korok seeds and the compendium lol

That's a damn good OT title.

I want to play this game so badly I'm considering a impulsive Switch purchase. Is it feasible to walk into retail stores and find one right now?

I've had 2 horses die on me. In both cases, I accidentally killed them with bombs. It's funny, but I was actually depressed both times it happened. You actually feel a bond with your horses in this game.
Exactly! The first horse I got was a special one, I had such a special journey with it... I hope there is a way to get them revived if I end up killing him.

Yeah, I was pretty bummed by the lack of real dungeons. I'm generally more interested in overworld exploration in Zelda games and that's no less true with BOTW, but I definitely miss the more complex, unique dungeons from the past games. That's one of the only things missing from BOTW.

I love that these dungeons are one giant puzzle. You really have to think about how adjusting the divine beast and how it affects the entire dungeon.

Started my second dungeon.
the one in Goronia. The shift in perspective is not for me. It confuses the hell out of me. lol

I mean the biggest since OoT, I highly doubt anything will top OoT's transitioning of the series into 3D.

Never say never. Ocarina came at a time of massive change in the industry and while Nintedo was pushing cutting edge hardware. Very hard for any console game to "impress" these days. I think the first Zelda VR may be it. Or imagine if Nintendo developed this game and had like 12gb ram and a GTX 1080 video card for their consoles etc. But still, just what they have done with the size and scope of the worl, the physics based system. It has taken Zelda forward much like ALttP, OoT, Wind Waker etc.

Anyway to make octorok balloons last longer? Or are there ones that do last longer I can get somewhere? They seem to pop only after a few seconds.

Is there a button to drop weapons? I'm always stacked full of weapons, but when I make enemies drop weapons I wanna pick their weapon up, then immediately throw it at their heads to break it as a denial method.

After climbing around all game, it's quite refreshing to just ride a horse and follow the main roads. Just spam A since the horse follows the roads automatically and change directions once in a while to get a good scenic view of Hyrule. It's pretty awesome!

You can select "Drop" in the weapon menu (NOT the quick menu)

Yeah I love the change of pace that you can introduce. I'm now back at slowly exploring like I did at the start after I did a tower run. (Just 4 tho)

So I'm assuming it's being done by someone - has anyone walked around the edge of the entire map just because? I remember it was a thing when GTA V released. I'm curious how long it would take.

Some girl: "These fire flies are so pretty"
Link: "You're also pretty!"

Link putting on those moves

He's just doing this whole hero thing for the ladies.

I love it when he tries this on one woman and she just tells him to fuck off.

Oh man if you talk to Paya when she's in the same room as Impa and you ask her where her birthmark is, Impa's all "Uhhh you better change the subject" lol. Link in this game is terrific.

Riding a grizzly to battle a lynel is pretty fun until I died in 1 hit.

And then she says maybe later she could show him.

Also in her diary she seems to not really like Zelda all that much. I wonder why haha

And then you have to stay in her bedroom all night to protect her because she doesn't feel safe
