This episode should've been an hour long. I want more already.

Ooh, Dragonball Super is coming on. I was wondering what channel it came on. I must've missed so many episodes.

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
It's going to go full BotW/TLOU with the point-haired cult assassin.

Just scavenging gear and surrogate fatherhood.

That was fantastic. I'm just blown away by how good this show is after being gone for so long. This is going to be an amazing final season.

Man, this is so surreal after all these years it's back:O

Really digging how he's
dealing with being away for so long. I never really thought it'd have a toll on him as a kid so it's good to see it.

Just FYI, once the show has aired, it's 100% ok to post unmarked spoilers, that's how it works for any TV show really, I think. Only previews or early impressions really have to be spoilered. (Feel free to correct me Seda).

Great fucking episode. I thought they did a very good job mixing light and dark. Despite that the episode got WAY darker than I thought it would, it still thought it felt like a Samurai Jac episode, which I thought was awesome.

I really do think Ashi is going to get redemption, and do think
Jack is going to kill one of the seven next episode
.

Made a few BoTW jokes with my friends during the episode, from the stone golem to Jack stealing the dude's weapons lol

But yea, episode was fucking amazing, and it was more mature in the best way possible, rather than some blatantly edgy shit.

Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.
Those sparkling landscapes were something alright

He usually fights machines infused with Aku's essence. I imagine he's gonna lose his shit when he hurts one of them and sees blood.

I'm pretty sure he killed those bounty hunters in the princess episode, along with turning that mad scientist into stone in the 4 seasons. Maybe his PTSD is so bad that he pretends everything he kills are robots to feel less guilty.

I felt like I was my 11 year old-self today. And I need more.

Welcome back Jack!

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
A real return to form and an excellent episode to start the show back off again. A real visual feast and full of so many great moments. I wonder if Ashi will be a longer term character or just in the next episode but it should be awesome.

The next episode is looking to be Jack Vs the Ultrabots 2.0

Genndy talks about this very issue in a recent interview.

One of the big developments here is the idea that Jack is facing flesh-and-blood people instead of robots, mutants, or aliens. Is this meant to be completely new ground for the series?

Yeah, it is. The whole conceit of the first series is that we couldn’t kill a human. He fought some, but he never killed them. He always had to find a way around it. When you’re fighting a machine that’s programmed, that has one singular goal and has no emotion, like we say in the show, “It’s just nuts and bolts, it doesn’t matter.” But when he faces something real, with feelings, that has a choice, he can’t just easily kill it.

Whenever this comes up, on Reddit or on comment boards, someone will bring up the bounty hunter episode and say, “He killed them, and they were definitely people!”

Some of those bounty hunters were definitely alien-like. But maybe they’re right! [Laughs] In my head, they were robots. I’d have to look at that episode again. I remember the episode, but I think they were mostly aliens. There were a couple of humans, but maybe they didn’t die.

So yeah, I think Jack's going to kill a human for the first time at some point in Season 5.

Yea, it's ok but I'm just trying to be respectful to west coast people.
