too late. I stopped already for the PSpro patch and went ahead in finished the game after putting it on hold for over two months.

I loved XV even before the QoL stuff so I can't wait to see these cutscenes in a replay of the game down the road!

Though seriously, if Square was satisfied with the commercial and critical reception of Final Fantasy XV they wouldn't be investing so much time and effort into making major patches for it.

It would be criminal if they made us pay for the story fixes. It's not awesome at all in my opinion, it's just the right thing to do. It would be awesome if nothing needed to be fixed to begin with.
And yes, the DLC episodes are different and they should charge for them
People seem to forget that they are also selling their dlcs + season pass.

Got a PS4 with ffxv, but havent started the game since zelda breath of the wild still takes my gametime.
Is it recomended to wait until all patches (when) for this game is done, concidering Ive read that apparently there is lack of story content that's important that will be put into the game?

Sorry to disappoint you, but I might've reacted too quickly. The "confirmed" bit of the leak doesn't sound so interesting if you consider that we already knew about a playable Gladio section being added to Chapter 13 before the leak came out.

Well if you wait for all the patches, according to the leak you won't be playing the game until Jan 2018.
I would just start to play to game as soon as the Gladio DLC hits, yeah it's true that the story has weird cuts. But the game is still enjoyable, and you won't get lost in what's happening with the story and this FF easily has the best battle system out of the entire series. The only annoying thing is that some important story events happen off screen.

You get the "complete" game on the PS4/XB1 no matter what. It's not like you have to pay for the updates. Thanks to "teh future", we have the technology to get updated versions of games without going out and buying a new copy like we did back in the PS1/2 days.

LMAO, I've got a save game on Chapter 9 which is level 53 Noctis. I'm ready for whenever Squenix finally finishes the game.

Don't care if people are saying this game sold well worldwide. In my opinion, the game just had a weak storyline and forgettable characters. Only thing I'd say they did well on was the graphics. Gameplay = holding down one button to attack and holding down a different one to evade.
