So how bad is the Switch stock situation?

I've put it all in a kitchen cabinet to hide it from myself XD

lol replace that case with screen protectors for my shrine

Yeah, I jumped on the Pro through Amazon because they are out locally, decided to get the case at the same time. Snagged Zelda using some Best Buy reward points (before my wife used them to buy Ink or something useful)...

Going to try and not stare at it too much... haha

I had my Zelda copy sitting propped up on my desk to look at to get me through the work week in hopes of having a Switch by today. I ended up just putting it one of my desk drawers since it ended up making me sad lol.

Yeah if I am not able to snag one at either Gamestop or Target next week, I am putting that stuff away until I snag one later in April haha.

My Switch from Amazon.es says "held in warehouse" in Kentucky, one state away from me, and the estimated delivery date of Monday went away. Is that normal? From the tracking info it already passed customs in PA.

Amazon.de (Germany) has Switch + 1/2 switch bundle on sale and shipping right now. Was able to order, got a delivery date and canceled my Amazon Spain order

$360 USD

Go, go, go

Calm Killer

In all media, only true fans who consume every book, film, game, or pog collection deserve to know what's going on.
I tried to buy the khols deal but i can't even get it in the cart. I did it within 30 seconds of the zoolert hitting.

I might just be confused but isn't it $385 USD? I could be doing the math wrong. I am only being picky because $360 USD for that bundle is totally a good deal in my mind...

Not sure if it's been mentioned but people on CAG and twitter are saying Gamestop stores will be getting more systems Wednesday.

Edit: Yep, already mentioned.

Not bad at all. Makes me wish I had jumped on the non bundled ones Spain had... seems that would have only been about $15 over retail (I don't have a sales tax in my state).

I figured my Amazon Spain Order was $332 without 1/2 Switch so why not? PA taxes would've put me at like $320 had I got it retail but looks like that's not an option through mid April, and even as an adult I have 0 patience :p

No judgement from me haha. I would have done that too but at this point I have spent any extra funds on Zelda, Pro controller and a case. I really can't swing more than $300 at this point. Going to try and get one at Gamespot Wednesday or Target next weekend if all those rumors hold true.

It really does seem like Target (maybe more stores) will be getting a true second round next weekend. That reddit post that went around and what I have been told by local stores. Take it all with a grain of salt I guess but I think hitting up Targets when they open on Friday is a good bet. They might hold them back until Sunday so they can show up in their ad though, so I plan on showing up Friday, Saturday, and Sunday lol.

I was at my local Target soon after opening. Nothing today (Friday).

ARGH

I am glad I am not the only one. Maybe our collective prayer shrines to the Nintendo gods will grant us all Switches shortly lol.

I'm tempted to do the same thing but I think I'm just going to hold out until I can just get Zelda, a Pro Controller and a Neon Switch all in one fell swoop.

So Gamestop and Target are restocking next week huh? I'm going out in a few min so I'll be sure to stop by both gamestops that are near each other.

Will be loading up the official Gamestop twitter in case they try to pull off some bullshit as well

Fuck, that is such a bad day for me. Does anyone have experience with this kind of stuff, I'm guessing the stock won't be there right when they open? The only way I could make it work is to get there and get out right away, any guess for what time that would be? unless you guys think I could still get one at like 3pm, any chance of that? I have a midterm that day.

I think it is different for each store. The one closest to me in the mail sometimes does not finish doing their unloading of stock until 2pm. I plan to call right when they open at 10. If they say the don't have any I will push about whether they got their truck that day (I hate being that guy but sometimes you have to)...

Yeah, so for those of us with a job, if this is a "normal" Nintendo "restock" (like the NES Classic), those of us with jobs that aren't there at open, we really don't have a chance I suppose. Guess eBay and Craigslist will get a nice restock!

Have the itch for this thing now, but just like the NES Classic, it seems like this will be a never-ending hunt. :(

I work from home so I "might" be able to snag one that day, but only really if they say they have some at opening and no one else beats me there lol. if it is a "well let me do the truck over the next 3 hours then we shall see" then I am out of luck as well. I am really hopeful Target gets them next weekend. If they hold them for a Sunday Ad, that almost makes it better as I will totally show up early for that.

Yeah it's going to be a crap shoot for me on that day. There is a GameStop and target within 5 minutes of my house and I'll be WFH that day.

Also GameStop openly saying March 22 and by March 22 is only going to make it harder and give more ammo for scalpers.

Yeah, until this gets to a point where a delivery of Switch's can make it to the end of a work day, I figure my only hope is during a Walmart restock that perhaps I can catch before work one day. Amazon Prime Now seems like MAYBE the only semi-realistic shot online. Until the market gets saturated, scalpers are going to be wiping sites clean within moments of restocks.

Dont blame them though, Nintendo is creating that type of market, not them.

Curious if the whole "Gamestop will have some in 3/22" means online too? Ugh, do I have to set alarms for 10pm on 3/21 and then 12am, 1am, 2am, 3am.... on 3/22? lol.

So the way I read that, there are two key factors.

First the fact they say on sale on the 22nd. To me that means they will probably get the shipment on Tuesday and have them for sale on the 22nd which would mean at opening. I doubt they will get the shipment on Wednesday for sale that day, but I can't say for sure.

The other key thing is where it says starting on the 22nd. Maybe it's just wording, but to me that implies that starting that date they are going to have them for sale. Which to me means they may be getting more shipments. Like starting on the 22nd we will have switches for sale, so maybe on the 22nd and the 25th etc. Again could just be how I am interpreting it though.

I hope you right. I will light two more candles by my shrine to pray this happens...

So in terms of GameStop restocks, GameStop stores are going to be selling switches as soon as they're received into the inventory. They won't hold them for a day or anything. GameStop isn't like big box retailers like target or Walmart who get their shipments in usually before open. GameStops, at least in my area, usually get their shipments in around 11. Hope this helps

Totally depends on the UPS route. Some stores get shipments pretty late.
