Dual Cast is about 36%/37% so when one of my Ludmilia hit 50%, I'm gonna fuse em.
Champion's belt is my next goal but with only one Snow... but I have 5 Xiao waiting in queue. Should I aim for Kaiser Knuckles now (2 is reasonable I think)?

Man these FF14 pulls are rigged or something. After my first two pulls all I seem to get is one Thancred and everything else is material.

It took over an hour, almost wiped but somehow recovered and went on to patiently beat him. No items used but forgot about LB finish for moogle. Thanks to all that assisted. Didnt do the black belt because I couldnt figure out what would save me a turn.

friend noctis: lightning and saved my ass with fire flask and excalibur on multiple occasions. I was shaking and input incorrectly more than once. 4:30am goodnight
I think around 15 or so. Wish 1 had been Gilgamesh, but I guess I shouldn't be complaining at this point.

Just Warp Break with Noctis.
Refia - Curaja/Imperil/Esuna/Full-Life (for those turns where shit just seems to happen even though everything is up and on him)
Cecil - Barfira/Curaja/Provoke
Ling - Feint Step/Daunting Step
Ramza - Sings the song of his people
Noctis - Warp Break (and sometimes Comeback)
Friend Noctii - Same as above
Wish I could run a full Paralyze immune team, but 4.5/5 with Ramza having 50% resist is pretty good. It's great when people run with Jeweled Rings and I don't have to waste Refia's casts on it.

was only a matter of time before you had a rage about that. But yeah seriously, please check your units. Rain is doing my head in now. Sigh, wish I had an Olive or Yun. I'm beating ELT still but annoying to have to baby sit the one unit that gets paralysed (already given out two rings and Refia/Ling are fine) each round and dies the most. Swapped between Cloud of Darkness, Firion and now Rain. Want someone else to replace him hmm.

so what is the best strat to beat ELT?
atk/mag breaker, DEF/SPR buffs, units with high fire resist and para immune, and 1-2 big DPS units

Im like 500 pulls into this raid even and nothing but Minfillias and Thancreds
Well I use Cecil to Barfira/Provoke/Focus, Ling to Daunting Step (sometimes MP up towards the end), Noctis to Warp Break/Thunder Flask/Cover, Refia to cure all and Rain to...well he doesn't do much, just the odd Leadership now and then, his MP is so low and keeps dying too. But that strategy takes me through ELT.

So desperate to try and do a 11 pull now to get noct but maybe thats stupid, better hold on to the lapis until Orlandu shows up as noct is still in the pool to be pulled.

I know, man. It sucks. I had 24 pulls and got 5 Thancred and all the rest materials. At least I was able to get Minf yesterday at some point. I'll go ahead and start building her up with Ling. Really could use some cactaur right now.
Congrats, man! Once I get her, I'm gonna give up messing around with this raid.
I was just stressed that I maybe I wouldn't earn enough points to get her, so now I can still farm it, but not be worried about it.
Feels good, I have no Dual Cast - haven't ever pulled a Ludmille, and No Refia.
Yoshi is going to get a lot of use

Welcome to the thread!
Generally, the best way to level units up are either through Mog King cactaurs or via Cactuar Dunes, which arrives once every 3 weeks. (Dunes scheduled to arrive next weekend)
Other than that, you are really left with running ADV XP Vortex, which is rather slow and inefficient compared to using cactaurs.

I can definitely relate. I don't have Dual Cast, either. Another reason I'm trying to get her. I do have Ludmille, but I'm not even a little close to getting Dual Cast. Gonna take a long time for me to get there. In the meantime, I can have a healer with the ability to get me through things that need it. So I'm hoping I can pull it off. I guess we'll see.

I can get ifrit down to just under 50% each time before he gets mad and nukes my team. It's all about breaking constantly and hoping for a good RNG.

I've gotten 6 Thancreds and nothing else.
So I hit a roadblock in my story at the Village of Ambel's scripted fight. Really need to start leveling my characters. How's the best way to level?
Ugh. I just did a 24 summon and ended up with ONE crystal which was a stupid specialized trust moogle and ton of other crap. What the hell kind of shit is this? It's worthless and all it's doing is adding a shit-ton of shitty ass materials to my inventory. Man, stuff like this just makes me not want to play this game at all.
I mean, this is how raid summons work, as far as I'm aware. I think later raids can give Gil Turtles and maybe some other stuff, Shouta or Visceir can correct me if I'm wrong, but this one is basically just the FF14 units and materials for their gear and awakening. If you don't care about that then there's no particular reason to bother, but you're getting what it says on the tin, pretty much.

Took over 90 mins to clear it (I had 30mins food break, as you can see from clock). As I said I don't have Ling. But one whale on my list has "Ifrit immune" Ling. Tested friend Ling accidentally on PRO earlier with TM party dead and friend Ling didn't do damage enough and after 3 turns or so Ifrit fled .
My party was alive to point where Ifrit had 20% hp left. After that Ifrit went berserk and killed everyone except that Ling. So I had to be carefully to ress my party once and awhile.
Basically this was my turn setup after that point.
1. Daunting Step
2. Dance of Rebirth
3. Attack wtih Ling as everyone else was dead usually.
Rinse and repeat
In the last turn by some miracle party ress left both Noctis alive and unparalyzed (Cecil got Paralyzed). So Warp breaked the shit.
Friend Ling:
Combat:
Last turn:
Glad I could do it. After this loaning damage dealer friends for ELT and using Smokebomb when only one unit is left.
With Smokebomb you get 350 Rank exp from ELT + coins.

Definitely. It's pissin' me off because I keep getting one for Y'stola and I don't have her. What's the fuggin' point of getting those when I don't even have the character. At the end of the day they're just clogging up my inventory.
Sell them then. They are absolutely a free bonus that doesn't hurt you any in any way.
Except take up space and drag everything out. More crap that's thrown in to keep folks from getting the good stuff. There was no need to add them into the game except to pad out "rewards" with more crap.
