How did Mass Effect turn out so shit.
Brad seemed more animated than recent weeks which was nice but nothing super noteworthy, kind of samey looking indie games. Good background listening if anything.
Is UPF so bad these days that our enjoyment is contingent upon whether or not Brad seems conscious in it?
UPF being rotten is independent of that, but he's been super quiet lately so it was nice to see all the same.
As long as my continued subscription makes Brad happy...

It's really putting me off how smug the male Ryder seems in ME:A. Maybe no thanks to the animations, but his constant smirking and bargain bin Nathan Drake delivery is brutal to watch.
Edit; Also this video makes me realize I much prefer Alex's approach to quick looks, like most recently with Nier. It really felt like he was showing the game off and talking through the mechanics from a position of authority and running through an agenda that best exemplified that stuff. Meanwhile the Mass Effect video is kind of meandering and unfocused which is kind of annoying considering how many questions I have about it.

This is way off-topic, but this is why I fucking hated Laura Roslin in Battlestar Galactica. Every time she's on camera, she has this fucking smirk on her face and she comes off as so sanctimonious and so smug and everyone seems to love her and I can't fucking understand it and ugh.

I'm going to be very happy when they learn the different Mr Shakdowns' backstories.
Also Yakuza 0 will totally take them 30+ episodes at the pace they're going. We won't be seeing credits for a while like half a year. That said I still hope they at least complete one of the businesses. They're timesinks but the reward is worth all of it and then some.

is one of my favorites. So glad they did it and dammit VINNY, gotta put White Flag in my head again. Just last week or so I tried brainwashing myself from it after hearing it while I was out shopping for shoes.

I don't know if we were playing the same game because while Trico sometimes doesn't do what you want, for the most part he's a good pet assuming you don't spam commands. Most of why that game works is because of Trico, his A.I and that most people bought into him or else the entire game fails(which it didn't).
The loyalty missions were cool. The launch trailer was cool. Many things about 2 were cool even though it strayed off it's RPG roots.

I can picture TLG being a game that I appreciate from a distance but never actually get around to playing. Kind of came and went in a similar fashion as FFXV, for me.

This really bumms me out.
His whole trying to please everyone thing gets a bit old, but I still like the guy and find him entertaining. That's one problem with Patreon. One comment risks alienating an entire side of your fanbase which directly leads to lost money. One comment while working for a company probably isn't gonna kill you when you're getting paid by salary.
