So now that it's all but confirmed there's going to be a PC version, and PS4 is getting exclusive/timed content, and with Scorpio on the horizon, do you plan to stay on your previously selected platform or make a switch?

Most of my friends got ps4's when the pro launched so were all switching from xbox one to ps4.

It still doesn't make sense for that to be the actual Traveler, right? Does the size match up?

And if so, does Destiny 2 actually begin with the Traveler being revealed to be evil and attacking/destroying the city? What a damn epic intro that would be.

it was a fucked up layer

source: I got to see the actual photoshop file for the Destiny 1 keyart, I could move the traveler around and shit, there are actual stars and stuff drawn behind it, was pretty neat, and can see how that error got through

Sticking with PS4 Pro. Exclusive content and it will likely have the largest player base again.

... You played Destiny for 200+ days?
There's a website called something like Time Wasted on Destiny. It has leaderboards for the most time played. The top players have around 10k hours. And this counts actual play time, no tower or orbit time, IIRC.

I don't think they would do that yet, considering we don't even care about the traveler yet. OR HAVE ANY CLUE WHAT IT EVEN IS.

While I agree the "story" in vanilla Destiny sucks, I don't know if the Traveler needs too much explaining.

I kind of like that it's just a "thing in the sky" that has always been there that Guardians and citizens of the last city on Earth believe is protecting them. Complete blind faith.

To have that faith crushed by an attack in the introduction to Destiny 2 is epic to me, no matter how much we know at this point about the Traveler.

Buying it on both, going for 6 guardians again
I'll have you guys on PS4, I'll have my friends on Xbox 1
I will probably look into cloning myself as well or drink some fresh Vex milk so I can travel back and forth through time.

So I'm guessing Rasputin is sleeping on the job again.

Interesting I'm in the same boat. Played the original on Xbox One but 3 years have passed and my friends list is turning a bit into a ghost town. I wonder if I can transfer any of my stuff from Xbox One to PS4? I know it's just rewards/legacy stuff and not your character or inventory but it would still be nice.

Ya the stats fron bungie dont count Tower time. If it did, I might be at 1000hrs by now.

But these 10,000 hr people... that is like a full time job

The lore for Destiny is incredible. Hope they do a better job in actually telling it through story and gameplay this time around.

yeah. benefits of turning all your academic papers super early is you get a bunch of free time. i pretty much played destiny every night for like 5+ hours for a whole year and a half.

More power to you. I felt like I play all the time but I'm only at 1168h apparently. And that's top 23% of PS4 players haha.

I obsess in other ways. I literally created a checklist spreadsheet in Google Drive to keep track of loot I've held. Like, even blues and below.

Jesus Christ. I played each raid a handful of times and then moved on. I can't even fathom spending that many hours in Destiny. What were you even doing?

Completing armor and weapon sets by doing the Raids multiple times, Iron Banner, strike playlists, Crucible, etc.

I'm at 1168h and I'm not a big Raid player as I dislike using LFG sites for something that should be in game.

Correct, WastedOnDestiny shows active time, but DestinyStatus shows active time and total overall time if you're a masochist and want to check.

Disgusting numbers:
I've got 1730 hours of active time between four characters and 2530 hours overall between four characters, likely more but DestinyStatus doesn't have stats on my deleted character and WastedOnDestiny only has the active time archived.

It's not if they decided to just erase it.
looks like that's exactly what they did 😩
Social media channel art was swapped out to correct an error. F5 and continue speculating… https://t.co/eslJm92Xoh

well playstation has me clocked at 5032 hours (the 10 year ps store anniversary email gave me that stat) but time wasted on destiny has me clocked at 3004 hours. time wasted on destiny is actual playing time so it's more accurate.

i'm not gonna lie i've fallen asleep with destiny on several times and i often leave my ps4 on all day on destiny so i'm ready to go when i get a message/call from my friends to jump on so that's probably why the numbers on the playstation email are so inflated.

3004 hours is still a lot, its really only since right before the april update last year that i stopped playing destiny, and then i came back for rise of iron. and i stopped again since the last balance patch because the special ammo nerf kinda killed the fun out of the game for me.

3K hours make it easily my most played game ever. worth every dime.

definitely looking forward to this. destiny 1 had a lot of potential... but was pretty ass. I never played anything beyond the first month (even though they supposedly improved on a lot of things) in anticipation of destiny 2.

I gave up on destiny after the second expansion because I bought the collector's edition.

Finally TWO is coming and hopefully fixes everything wrong with the first.

60 fps seems like a dream right now, I know Bungie is using a new engine, but I don't think they've ever achieved 60fps in the past games.

60fps also wasn't the genre standard when those past games released though.

Every shooter is 60fps now except Destiny.

I wouldn't count what BF1 is on base PS4 as actual 60 fps. Isn't it all over the place between like 40 and 60?

As long as there's a possibility for locked 60fps (on the Pro) I don't give a shit.

I just want to play Destiny at 60fps with a controller—without the majority of my opponents using M+KB.

I remember they said it was possible for destiny 1 (ps4/xbone) but they wanted to keep parity with the 360/ps3 versions because of their old plans of cross platform.

If they don't get 60 this time around I'll be dissapointed.

Prepare to be disappointed.

It's not Bungie's way.
