English version of Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 for PS4 introduces frequent stuttering

Strange that the NA version suffers from the stuttering and not the japanese ver

Hopefully gets resolved soon ;/

They did that for Dragon Quest Builders, introduced lots of stutters in english version, and no major site called them out so I'm sure they felt like they could get away with it.

Personally I'm not dropping this until they fix it. :/

are you talking about the slight pause because cuts in videos? I'll live. I don't have a PS3 anymore and I've never played these through.

That feeling when you forgot you preordered it on Amazon months ago, and got "Your order was shipped" email before you could cancel.

If you are Prime members, when will your game arrive? Tomorrow?

I have mine on pre-order since October but it says it will arrive on Thursday.

I'm a Prime member and mine says it will arrive tomorrow and I ordered it in February. Sometimes if you email support they might fix it for you, no promises though.

My copy from Best Buy was shipped Thursday and arrived in my County, along with MLB The Show, on Friday. It has been stuck in a sorting bin over the weekend since that facility is closed for weekends, and arrives later tonight. Had gotten 2.8 four days early, and every game at least a day early through them. I have a buddy of mine that gets on-time shipping from them in an area near PA in the U.S., so, I guess experiences/locations vary. I've been very happy with Best Buy shipping in my area so far.

I do hope they fix the stuttering and other issues soon. I've been holding off playing 2.8 since I never did get to play Kingdom Hearts II on my PS2, or the other games after part 1.

I was On the fence of either buying this now or waiting for the eventual complete box set before KH3 comes out...but these issues really made the case to wait.

SO there's still no definitive version of the series... This is even worse than the soundtrack issues from FFX. What the fuck SE?

Starting to feel the same way. Pretty disappointing to see so many issues not being tested or ironed out before release.

Contacted Amazon, they said adding gift card balance to an pre-order push back in the queue, that is why it changed to Thursday. Meh, whatever, I still have Breath of the Wild and my backlog and they are giving me $10 in gift card balance. I can live with it.

Just so we are clear, these stutters affect cut scenes and the gameplay part is a 60 lock is that correct? If so, that's a minor issue and won't affect me buying it.

I would contact them again honestly. I had an expired card set to my preorder as I did it months ago. They tried to charge me this weekend but it failed. My order was pushed back to Thursday. Contacted them yesterday after updating my payment method and after some time the support person updated my order for one day shipping free of charge to Make sure I get it on release. Helps that Amazon advertises arrival on release date for preorders. Makes it easier to make your argument for having the shipping corrected.

What is the consensus on this game. I have PS4 Pro and want to pre-load it before I get some rest...

Is it laggy, unplayable? Day one patch, what?

It's playable. It's just a worse version than the japanese version, that stutters, for absolutely no justifiable reason. So hopefully they patch their mess, for once.

Oh, Square. This is more or less the same as the PS4 version of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster before it's patch.

Can't you do anything right?

Very very rarely drops frames on base PS4 (pretty much locked 60fps). There's just random stutter. The only big bug not fixed by the day 1 patch is the save crashing(which doesn't corrupt data). I think the frequency of the save crashing got reduced by it. It's already the definitive edition, just needs one to two more patches to make it perfect.

Hopefully not the case....come on SE t.t

KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX |OT| What? Did I Stutter?
Thus is my favourite but I'm afraid they might actually fix it :d.

So turns out they lied about addressing the issues today unless they are dropping some late night info >_>.

Sad thing is I'm not even surprised. Basically they were afraid because every single comment on their tweets were about the bugs and wanted people to just shut up.

You mean the day 1 patch or something else? If it's the former then the game doesn't officially releases until tomorrow

Yeah, from what I've seen the stuttering is KH2 only luckily.

Their tweet only said there would be a day one patch addresing various issues, and that's technically correct. The game already received two patches (up to 1.02) that did not fix issues like stuttering, save crashing or the Xemnas RC (all of those problems were reported on that version). The last patch came out almost 2 weeks ago, but for people who get the game now it'll be a day one patch. The wording really made it sound like they were talking about that one, too, but let's hope I'm wrong.

I dunno, dude. They had 2 part tweet, first saying
Community, thanks for your questions! We're addressing various issues before the game releases on Mar 28th (NA) & Mar 31st (EU)
and immediately followed by
For NA and EU players, a Day 1 patch will be available at launch to match the JP update. We’ll keep an eye out for additional notes.

To me that definately sounds like they would address stuff outside of the current day 1 patch which is just the current JP version.

Hey Square Enix

When you're releasing a game only because you want to please the fans who requested it, don't you think it's better if you make sure it's working properly?

I mean I'm no rocket scientist but jesus fucking christ man

I take that more as a "if our local team fixes anything else we'll include it in our notes. If not, it'll be the same as the JP patch"
