Exactly! If you are that bothered about FPS, you ought to be on the better version.
I can see the difference between sub 30FPS and 60FPS but other than that I'm ambivalent.

Ravenridge (Zen based apus) are supposed to show up in the second half of 2017. This was confirmed by AMD earlier this year. But they are supposed to only come with one Zen CPU-Complex (CCX) --> only 4 Zen cores. There are supposed to be two forms. One 170mm^2 die with 4 Zen cores and 12 Compute Units and one 210mm^2 die with 4 Zen cores, 16 Compute Units and HBM2 support.
There are currently no plans (as far as we know) for 8 core zen apus.

But it also has a UHD player, so if it's only 399 won't be that big a leap...it better be over 399

I think MS will go back to the traditional discrete CPU and GPU design. Only way I see them packing an 8 cores Zen inside and allowing 200 or more watts inside.

I'll be interested to see how this presented. Using Digital Foundry in this manner tells me they want to communicate to the technical crowd very clearly. Specifically, I imagine they want to play up how big of an upgrade it will offer over PS4 Pro.
They may be able to cheese it and claim they mean powerful in terms of exclusive titles or fun or something like that

I don't think they'd get away with that, they'll likely just remove it. They'll sell-through stock well before Scorpio is out anyway, I'd imagine.
