Futaba's great but she's too "young-ish" for me. I committed to Makoto today and completed her social link. Ann is fun, but she's better as a friend of the protagonist. Maybe her and Ryuji?
confess that she was lying about her little sister being sick, the only reason I got that fer into her plot line was because I thought her little sister is the one Tae Takemi is trying to help?! Fuck, end of the line, you lying bitch!...

I'm only at rank 3 or so with his confidant, but I think he's fine so far. I feel like he might be the one who sells you out though (that's all speculation on my part, so no spoilers).
"No PC, you're too tired to go out shopping because you talked w/ your friends for two minutes about a mission, and, also, it's not cool to break up w/ your girlfriend and go w/ someone else. Now go to bed."
I'm probably playing the game completely wrong, but the first goddamn frickin' dungeon feels harder than any Souls game I've ever played.
I've reached the tower parts, and any red enemy that spawns those horse knights utterly destroy me. I don't have any healing items to speak of, and the cover system is so finicky I also have a hard time getting past most enemies.
if I lower the difficulty to Easy, do I miss out on any trophies? Not finding too much enjoyment when I get ruined around every corner.
Yeah I went for Ann, seems like it'd be the most natural for the game. First girl you meet, had the whole cutscene where you first meet her, and she's in your same class. It's not some fetish like a doctor or a teacher either. And she's part of the main group vs a random person you go out of your way to interact with.
I guess my only complaint is that Atlus is so far behind on multiple instance writing. They absolutely can't wrap their heads around adding a line or two of dialogue, which btw would be fucking TEXT BASED, to acknowledge you are already involved with a girl when that type of conversation is being had.
Instead it's (beach spoilers)
'Oh boy these guys may be good with being thieves, but they can't attract women'. What the fuck Ann
and (hawaii spoilers)
'hey bros since we're all single let's go search for women' but my character isn't single. Jesus game, it wouldn't be hard to change the text to say something else
And I fail to realize why the game seems to give the excuse you have to keep the relationship secret? Nobody would care (well except Morgana on my end, but I don't care about that cat you had a fucking crush get over it).
The more I see it the more I just think they're outright lazy writers at points.
But it's not a mechanic that fucking changes the algorithm and it outright ruins any immersion and reminds you it's a game when the specific topic is being discussed. I'm not saying they need to add a mention of it every scene, but if you're going to have scenes where the friends are discussing this topic you should at least put some effort and write a few instances where the text speech or the dialogue says something else instead of generic reply. If it was an issue of having to do many different dialogue scenes with voice acting then I'd give them a pass, but so much of the game is just reading the text box with grunts/small phrases from the character they could have put a bit more effort.
Considering you have so many relationship options and that you can start them almost anytime in the game, I'm sure you're underestimating the amount of branching text that needs to be included if they start acknowledging it. Plus in settings where teenagers are the focus, being in a relationship is a big deal. It would be weirder if people knew and just brushed it off like it's nothing.

I assume it's okay to stop carrying a persona of the matching arcana for someone once you hit max rank with them? There are some I don't really use in battle but I've just been carrying with me for the bonus relationship points when spending time with them.

So correct me if I'm wrong, if you're a cheating sack then on vday
you pick a girl, the others beat the crap out of you for being a two timer, then the game proceeds like it never happened and the finale every girl has romantic dialogue
