GTX 970 Class Action Settlement website is live

Why did they waited all this tike to do this? 970 released ages ago.
You had to get all the people who were affected to sign up for the case, actually litigate the case, sort out the payment scheme, make all the checks, start sending them out...

Shit takes time.

That said, I don't get why they don't just send prepaid debit cards instead of checks.

I received my check yesterday. I think I'm going to buy Nier: Automata with GCU plus I have some add in BB reward certificates so I should be able to get it virtually free. Nah, screw that I think I will just use it for some PSN cards to buy some Persona 5 costumes. I am so fucking hooked on that damn game...

I definitely signed up and have the email to show but I never received anything from that account with a claim number. Oy.

Edit: I see my claim form has a claim number, but that's it. No emails or confirmations from them :(

I don't seem to have an email either, which is worrying. That's an email that I would've kept, for sure.

What I have is the Claim Receipt that has a claim number and all my information. I kept it because it said "Print this page as your receipt" (I "printed" it to a PDF).

Anyway to check if you signed up for this?

According the FAQ page on the GTX 970 Settlement website, you would not have received an email confirming whether or note your claim was deemed eligible. From the page:
14. Will I be notified whether I'm eligible or not?
No. You will, however, be notified if there is a deficiency with your Claim Form.

Here is a link to the FAQ page:

Wow, there goes $60 :/. I really hated those gtx 970s too. would rather just have a good card. Now I have every reason to never purchase Nvidia again though. And my pride.
Also in terms of time, OT took me 3 years to sue a company for $200,000 for rearending me at 40 mph with a semi truck, and most of that went to the litigation process. These things are never worth it, and everyone would be far better off if things had just worked properly in the first place. In terms of manufacturing, since they are guilty, this is fucking avoidable and inexcusable. Way to look shitty Nvidia :/ by taking a giant dump on all our heads. This is a real Trump move. Nothing was there to keep things in check, and they took advantage of it.

It would have been far more fair to give everyone an equal value card in today's standards.
They actually won this.

i dont even see my email either but i do remember signing up. weird

Thanks for the info. I think the email I have is just to confirm my signing up, as opposed to confirming my claim eligibility.
Oh ok! I got an email with a claim number, but it doesn't say anything about receiving my claim. Just lists the options of what I can do (I.e. accept cash settlement, go to court, etc.) Is that what you got it is it something different?

Yup, that's what I got.
If You Are A U.S. Resident And You Purchased A GeForce GTX 970 Graphics Processing Unit in the U.S. Between September 1, 2014 to August 24, 2016, You May Be Entitled To Payment From A Class Action Settlement
So I think I misinterpreted what the claim number in the mail means, lol. I'm just a font of accuracy these days.

Still haven't received my money yet. Searched all my accounts for an email and didn't find anything. But I do have a note pad document saved with my claim number. Should I keep waiting or try to get in contact with them?
