Watch_Dogs 2 |OT| .HTML

Guess I am not the only one. It felt cheap somehow. Anyway, I went full on terminator in the mission
where Marcus gets them back,
despite having minimized my gun use for the most part of the game.

Can someone explain to me how the side operation where you exploit ctos ATM's and essentially fuck with people i.e. spending their money, deleting their accounts etc is for a good cause ? I really can't stand the idea of 'vigilante hackers', they're essentially like the losers that start DDOS attacks on online services 'for a cause' and ruin it for everyone else.

It's up to you if you wanna fuck with them. I gave everyone free money except that piece of shit actor who was so full of himself.

I think I recall that you can either mess with their accounts or actually give them money. It's up to you who you think deserves what.

You can give or take money during all of the ATM stuff. I gave money to the people that needed it and took it from the jerks. They aren't supposed to be white hat hackers. Definitely grey or black depending how you play it.

Really ? I must have missed the choices - it only seemed to highlight a predetermined option. That makes me feel a little bit better, though I can't say I feel as strongly about the cast as others do. A shame as I'm really enjoying the game otherwise.

I'm still unclear on why this happened. Seemed almost out of the blue.
His character doesn't appear on the special skins that has the cast. Was he added last minute to give a sense of loss?

Yea so much potential there but then nope. That's it.

Honestly, me too. It didn't make any sense. I was confused and upset. Ubisoft Montreal went full retard.

Hopefully they don't really slip on that again. I'd love to hear from someone at Ubi to explain what happened.

Trying to get the last achievement and the platinum before I move onto the DLC....

Hold my hair.

-_-

Which one is it?

"Hold my hair" lol - the one where you have to photo someone puking. Been hanging around the Jack London bar for the last 4 hours trying to find someone with no luck.

Ooh. lol. I didn't even realize that was the trophy name. Is Jack London the bar near the docks/boardwalk kind of area? I fast traveled somewhere on a boardwalk and found a person puking in like 2 minutes. It was night if that matters.

I've tried it all at this point. Fast travelling in and out, following sick/homeless people, walking up and down the pier between the bar and the clothes shop. :( I had a day off to today to play the DLC and do a few other things....end up spending most of it look for vomming people! haha

Damn that sucks that it won't show up. Hope you can find a person throwing up soon. At that point I'd consider trying to just turn off the game and start it up and hope that the new instance of the world would give me better luck. Might have to do a tour of all the bars that you can find.

This is the only mission i used melee on, to take out the three chumps with my bare hands.

Jack London square is that whole section. It about a half a mile long in the real world, it looked a little truncated for the game, but be sure to search all of it.

Point the camera down where the atm controls are, left number pad gives them money, right number pad takes or donates money.

Played one of the DLC missions tonight, it took me about an hour with retrying a few times. High quality and felt just like a regular story mission, if you were playing the game for the first time you wouldn't know it's added content. Well integrated and fun. If the other 2 are like this I will be very pleased.

Finished the game yesterday. It's awesome. And Spiderdrone is more awesome. :D

Anyway, when you upgrade the Quadcopter or Jumper to carry 5 bombs/electro-shock, you pretty overpowered.

Hold My Hair is the Social Lubricant of Watch Dogs 2. It's just not as frustrating. Find the Masked Musician and survey the area. That's where people are more likely to vomit. Crazy thing is I saw someone vomit in a bush earlier in the game, before I realized it was an achievement to take their picture. It happened so quickly.

The Jordi DLC operation is one of my favorites in the game. His interactions with Marcus, the interiors and combat spaces, the way they used him in the missions. Great stuff.

ive also been having trouble getting this, and only saw someone vomit once in hours upon hours of playtime (i was in the middle of a driving mission and couldnt take a photo which stung)

went over the masked musician area, found someone within five minutes and got the achievement. thanks

Good to know. WD2 was the first open world game since MGSV that I actually wanted to keep playing after getting the platinum, usually I'm totally burned out by that point but I could've happily had twice as much time with Marcus and the crew.

It's not a ton of content, which is a shame because I like how they used the play spaces in the DLC. Similar infiltrations to the main game, but everything felt a tiny bit more fleshed out, and the Jordi operation in particular leans toward a more aggressive Watch_Dogs 1 style that I really like. I wish they took a bit longer and Blood and Wine'd this stuff with a big expansion.

There's another DLC to come, so maybe once all the season pass stuff is out there'll be a substantial amount of additions. But yeah I'd love a Blood and Wine style exploration of a new area, but they've probably already moved on to the sequel.

Couple of hours in and I feel like I'm doing something wrong in terms of stealth.

In Watch Dogs 1, I pretty much played the entirety of the game just using my silenced pistol and only switching to assault rifles when stealth was not an option. In this game, however, it seems like the silenced pistol doesn't actually do anything, and if an NPC sees me, even if I kill them before they can actually shoot or say anything, every other NPC is alerted and knows exactly where I am.

Do I have to unlock some talents or get some extra silenced pistol or something? Cus if I can't, then it seems like they REALLY don't want you using stealth in WD2.

My take is that that they're doing this to call the safety of the banking system into question. Imagine if this was happening in the real world - there'd be many, many news stories about people losing money and accounts being compromised. The whole thing would seem in disarray.

To make that interesting in gameplay and story, the player has options on how they treat people.

The drones and limiting your physical presence to the maximum is the key to stealth. When unlocked, distractions, false APB, and blackouts are also very useful.

Gah, so I have to use a bunch of extra stuff just to play stealthed. Not a fan of that, I just wanna be running around with my silenced pistol like I did in WD1...

That's pretty much how it works. You can't afford to be seen even for a second. Eventually you'll unlock an ability that lets you "distract" them, disabling their AI, making "stealth" more viable, but never good.

Stun gun is silenced pistol. Melee take downs are the best if no one can see. Otherwise just buzz their phone and run behind them and they won't see you.

The less you compare this to WD1 the better. Outside of the hacking, they might as well be completely different games.

I really liked how they never explicitly say you dont have to hack the person so the first time someone seemed decent it was a geniuine surprise to just sit there mulling over the decision and let them walk away with nothing happening

Lashley

Why does he wear the mask!?
And this to me is the greatest tragedy of Watch Dogs 2. I adored the first game so WD2 going a new direction over being iterative is disappointing.

Whereas I hated WD1, and much preferred WD2 and it's new direction. My friend did too.

Opinions are like arseholes, etc etc

I'd like to be able to give NPCs money using my phone. It's a shame that all the tools in the game are punitive or destructive in some way. Anything the character does that is good only comes from missions and cutscenes, even though Marucs is supposed to be a good guy.

Maaan, on the PC side I finally, for the first time spent a lot of time just dedicated to MP with Bounties and a few Invasions and yeeeeaaaah... That EAC shit they got ain't working very well. Seemed like every other bounty I encountered was doing something they should've have been able to do. I've done a bit of MP stuff before because of the nature of the game and I've seen a few cheaters here and there but actively doing it just made it ridiculous.

Such a fun and enjoyable game. Especially after having finished Mafia 3 that suffers from an insanely repetitive mission structure.

Anyway, I have a question.

I know about the media player but I am now using the radio and wondering how I can see what song is playing. When I hold the menu button I just get the media player but no song info at all. I had the pop channel on and this song I liked came on and I wanted to know what it was. But I can't seem to get the info for it and when I look at the pop section in the media player the song strangely isn't there.

Finished the No Compromises DLC...not really worth the £7.99. The dialogue was well written and well acted (I've grown to really love these characters), but there's not enough new missions to warrant the price. Xbox and PC players are really not missing out with this.

I listened to people complain about Social Lubricant for weeks only to knock the trophy out my first try with every drinker. Still don't understand the fuss.

Finished it. Never really liked the story or characters but man is the gameplay fun. I see that the season pass is on sale, is it worth getting?

I stupidly fucking bought the Season Pass for PC on Kinguin (back in January). I've bought several games / expansions on there before, never had a problem.

As soon as the DLC started rolling out, I noticed the content was not installing. It recognize I own the Season Pass but is stuck on 'Not Installed'. Talking to Ubisoft was useless - they told me the Season Pass Key from Kinguin was most likely purchased with a stolen credit card #, so even though it shows my Season Pass as 'Active' - Ubisoft put a block on it to prevent any DLC from installing.

Talking to Kinguin is also useless, since I didn't purchase buyer protection. And of course since I bought the fucking pass well before DLC came out - my PayPal refund window has long passed.

Warning to all that use Kinguin. Maybe avoid for any kind of Season Pass situation, where you can't verify the content 100% works immediately upon buying. Or I guess purchase buyer protection if you're going to.

That said - this was the 10th thing I've bought and the first issue I've had.

Love the game, so guess I'm going to be repurchasing the DLC again - this time probably individually ugh...

On a different note - how is the online for Watch Dogs 2 PC? Haven't played yet. Not a huge fan of multiplayer (even GTA V). Any chance I'll like this?
