Battle.net has friends lists. Make a friend, form a party, queue as party.
Add people to your friends list by their battletag. You will probably see a lot of people posting theirs here. Once you have them added you can invite them right from your friends list.
All this kind of stuff is way easier on PC

Never played a moba in my life. What am i in for here? I tried dota 2 once for a half hour and didn't really latch onto it. Is HOTS less complicated? more streamlined?

HotS is a fun video game though.
Very easy to pick up. Way less complicated than dota2. You will have a little tutorial when you start the game.
Pure speculation on my part but I assume its partly to encourage new players to play with their Overwatch friends, as well as to raise the chance of having a positive first experience with the game since you're playing with friends.
Well you can go through some vs ai rounds fast this week least.
This or 10 game in week 2. Or week 4. As you wish. But 10 games anyway.

Can I tag with a friend, put a match against ELITE AI and loose 5 quickly ?
It has a good tutorial for new accounts. Easy to play.
Both Oni Genji and Officer D.Va will eventually be put into regular loot boxes, chill.

I didn't see it mentioned here, but it seems like some of the week 1 rewards are actually new. I did the last Nexus Challenge, but previewing the new rewards in-game showed some stuff I was missing. I think it's mostly new sprays and some bike tints, but week 1 isn't a total repeat.

Okay, so I found out why this happened. The new account level is based on levels gained, not total levels like it was previously, so you remove the starting level 1 for every character in the game. I wish I had understood this, I did a fair bit of research prior to 2.0 and saw no mention of this, but that's what happened.

D.Va is my most played hero in the game and they won't make me to install and play this snoozefest of a game for 1 skin only to be among the first to have it.

I may be wrong but I believe the fastest way to do this is party up and play VS AI on easy. You can blow through a match in minutes.
I'm sure people are already working on it as we speak.

That only works this time for week one, apparently. That will be the fastest approach, definitely, but realistically you could do it with real matches in maybe a little more than double the time.
If people really are afraid to play for weeks 2-4 I suppose they could just create a full party of people and throw the matches. That could be even faster than an AI match, though please don't do this unless you have a full team who is onboard with the idea...
Contacted my circle of friends on Pixiv....can confirm, should be out shortly.
Blizzard has caught on to this. The first week can be with AI games but the following 3 weeks must be done with pvp games. I guess they want people to participate in matchmaking.
