Where is Bioshock 4? And we should go back to Rapture...

Where is it? I know the original developer is dead (sadly) but 2KMarin made Bioshock 2/ Minerva's Den and it was amazing.
This series deserves another game!

And imo we should go back to Rapture. As much as I love Columbia...there's nothing like Rapture. This city is amazing, I can't get enough of it (atmosphere, design, music).
There are so many places and mysteries left to discover....please 2K Marin. This series/ this city still has a lot of potential.

i mean, we could talk about if they should go back to rapture,

but please stop asking if the game is being made, it was announced that 2k marin is working on it, we have this thread like every 2 months or something

i would love for this series to go on a less combat oriented direction.

the best part of infinite and the original were the first 10 minutes of walking around and taking it in.

also, vr. these worlds are meant for vr.

The Bioshock Infinite DLC made me want a detective game set in Rapture.

Something like LA Noire set in Rapture would be sweet.

At least, something different. Doing the same formula more than 3 times is kinda tiring.

The last Bioshock game set in Rapture was 7 years ago though...
And I like the formula especially because 2KMarin is in charge. Bioshock 2 had the best gameplay of the series.

Rapture is definitely better than Columbia, but imo it should take place in a new darker city.

My favorite Bioshock was the first one, and one of the reasons why is the setting.

My only complaint with bioshock 2 is I hated playing as a big Daddy. I didn't know they announced anything about making a new game.

Marcel Hatam, formerly of Crytek, thinks there may already be a studio working on a new Bioshock game, though he's not certain.

I wanted a 1950's vision of sci fi tomorrowland with a space station (with a lighthouse) in the moon.

Thats or Jules Verne centre of Earth.

I dont want to put a foot in rapture ever again when the ending of Infinite gives me so many amazing possibilities.

And as a fan of Inifnite, im sad theres no going to be more Ken Levine Bioshocks, becuase something tells me (and i hope its not true) that K2 Marin are going to go the save route and make it in rapture again.

I didn't know either. There is no official statement, right?

edit: And please, not in space! We have System Shock. Also, Andrew Ryan pretty much said that it's impossible. And I hope 2KMarin (if they work on a new Bioshock game) is ignoring the multiverse theories created in Infinite.

i liked bioshock 2 faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar more than infinite, so i have faith on 2k marin or whatever they are called now
I liked Bioshock 2 the best of the 3, but that was made a while ago. I'm expecting a Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel levels of quality which is not very great.

2K Marin is a different beast at this point btw. Lots of layoffs happened after XCOM: The Bureau Declassified and key developers on Minerva's Den left and founded Fullbright, where they made Gone Home and are working on Tacoma.

Another reason why you should be wary of a Bioshock 4

what, take two announced that 2k marin will be in charge of the next bioshock

Do they even have a studio called 2K Marin anymore? 2K's Novato studio is named Hangar 13, which hosts a number of former Marin staff, and there hasn't been any mention of 2K Marin on 2K's job openings for yonks.

Wouldnt surprise me we are in a Mafia 3 situation here.

Yes, i would be weary of anything done right now by 2K Marin.
And even worse if they are forced to do another story on Rapture, that would be they dont have any imagination whatsoever.

What do you mean? That DLC doesn't exist

;)

Yes it does and it was great, sorry you didnt like it.
And they continue the multiverse theory in fun ways or im not touching a Bioshock game ever again. All what Rapture need to tell is done, doing more would be stretching the gum.

There's always a lighthouse.
There's always a man.
There's always a city.

Literally anywhere.

This. Infinite set up the universe perfectly. I'm excited for Prey, but I'm skeptical it'll be able to match the world's of Rapture or Columbia.

Columbia was way better than Rapture. I hope if they are doing a Bioshock 4 they stray further away from the horror elements.

As much as I love Rapture's art deco, high five!

Tomorrowland 50's sci fi would be amazing and wouldnt look even similar to anything space related in videogames.
Jules Vernes steampunk center of the earth would be also super interesting.

When you say Bioshock, I think Rapture. Even though Columbia has its problems, its too sunny, bright and colourful lol.

Give me something dark and moody again.

I'm not sure Rapture has much more of a story to tell. Didn't we get enough Rapture content?

This strikes me as a game that never needed sequel.

Infinite should have been it's own thing.

I realize that's not how business works but yeah, too many Bioshocks.

They should keep the systems of Bioshock intact and create a totally new game out of it. They could call it something snappy, like System Shock.

That'd be great.
