I would say its more just showing the systematic racism in society where without any social context and only given pictures it still recognizes Bias towards White people. To improve it they will have to not rely on the English Speaking web and have it look through images from African Webservers , Weibo and the like.

Something just occurred to me - old me reminds me of my dad, but female me is a younger version of my mum, but with straight hair. How is this possible?

Most likely because the majority of women who the machine was trained on and who look similar to you have straight hair.

It's not that. I have straight hair myself, so a hypothetical female me would presumably have straight hair too. My mum has curly hair though, which is why I didn't see the resemblance at first. It does lighten female-me and old me's skin though, which is probably down to the bias in the AI.
It was more like - how can I look so much like both of them at the same time? It's blowing my mind.

Mine old one actually looks nothing like my dad though, or my maternal grandpa (my dad was adopted, so paternal grandpa is irrelevant). FemEXE looks a bit like my mom, but not super close.

Morphing back to male-me is pretty accurate too, although having been run through the filter twice (three times?), I'm somewhat lighter skinned than the real me.
EDIT: And younger too. Goodness.

It seems to have lightened the irises on the girl filter too. Blue eyes are hugely over represented in celebrities.

I havent encountered irises change in my playing around but the Hair is super noticeable.
There really going to have to add some Asian actors in the machine or something along those lines to fix this as it's quite silly though I guess that a statement on hollywood as well.
It's way easier to slap some long hair on top than to remove long hair. I honestly don't know why they made it try

Not posting pics but that hot filter was fucking brutal when I used it. I went up from like 2/10 to 7, subhuman to attractive. Ordered a bunch of moisturizer,sunblock, hydroquinone and kojic acid creams and I'm going to start applying that shit every day to get better skin. Also need to get my hands on a retinol prescription.

that doesn't look too bad. ken watanabe has always looked a little bit mixed to me. like you have those mixed race people who look white if makeup is done a certain way and asian other times.
