Gundam Versus coming west to PS4 this fall (New Trailer)

I wouldn't worry about the G Gundams not showing up yet. There's still loads of time and they've just announced Epyon, Altron, and Crossbone X-1, X-2 Kai, and X-3.

How's it feel that you can finally retire that laughing pilots picture finally? (at least for this game)

Is it safe to say the reason why this game is being developed independently from the arcade version of VS is so they could skirt around all the licensing kerfuffles with Gundam outside of Japan?

Wait sooo the build fighter unit in this game is from Try? What??? Hot Scramble? Lol I can only dream of Amazing Kampfer making an appearance in this game.

How long did it take Bandai Namco to let people know about the lack of original music in Extreme Versus Force? Thinking I'll keep my Asian preorder since the other Gundam/SRW PS4 titles released there have had identical music to the Japanese versions. I want to support this release, but not at the expense of losing the music.

Is there any chance that this version will get simultaneous DLC with the JPN version? It would have to if they're doing worldwide play, right?

A Gundam game getting localized? Let alone Gundam content whatsoever getting localized?

What changed inside Bandai-Namco for this internal """""Licensing Issue*""""" to suddenly get resolved after all these years?

*
Pretty obviously PR-Speak for "This shit doesn't make us money in the west."

Bandai and Sunrise treat Gundam like their golden child and cannot understand why it's not nearly as popular here as it is in Asia. Glad to see them giving it another chance with this game and working with RightStuf on releasing shows on Blu-ray.

Getting the shows back onto accessible streaming like Crunchyroll certainly helps too. Wish they had the dubs tho 😭

So pumped for this. All of those covers not featuring a SEED Gundam are amazing, I can't choose.
Fine the Wing/SEED one is amazing too.

Never watched the show, but this just looks like a fun game.

Can I easily play this without knowledge of the show?

Also can you do 1v1 battles?

If it's any help, I started out knowing barely anything about Gundam but I had heard about the Versus games in GAF threads and other sources online. Asked a couple of former coworkers when they were visiting Japan to bring a copy home of Extreme Vs. Full Boost if they would find one. Started playing it, enjoyed it a lot and got inspired to start watching some of the shows. Now I got a EZ8, a Zaku II and a Gouf Custom (standing beside me here in the office) model figures and very much enjoy the shows (not all, but a couple).

If you're interested, get the game, pick and play a robot that looks cool to you and you're good to go. Nothing else to it really.

I kinda got Virtual On vibes from the trailer (in a good sense), not into sci-fi/mech anything but this seems interesting.

Cosigned. I found Full Boost in a local con for 40 bucks (without the pass, sadly) with just some past knowledge of english Gundam series and it's what made me properly get into the franchise (though I'm still really new overall, in the middle of Zeta right now).

Probably still going to import the Asian English version unless there's confirmation that the music will be coming over intact. Will still get the NA release though at least to support it.

Been playing the Gundam Vs games off and on for years, but maybe someone can teach me to not be terrible at it.

Did my part and voted.

Wing/Seed gonna win though.

I don't see why this wouldn't have the music. US release of EXVS Force had everything, hell they kept T.M.Revolution's theme intact as well.

Force didn't have an expensive licensed track version in Japan though.

I imagine the US will only get the standard edition (and Asia like SRW V).

Oh happy days! I hope the music makes it over here with no issues and I need to check if my fight stick works for the PS4 (it probably doesn't) Either way, going to vote for the cover with the Nu Gundam/Unicorn.
