It's unbelievable how many people are playing this game. I teach kids (age 7-9) and no day passes where I don't hear about them bragging about how they won that game, or how that ultimate destroyed their opponents etc.

Metzen voice cracks and goosebumps have been redeemed for Blizzard.

1) Hearthstone (>50 million)
2) Overwatch (>30 million)
3) World of Warcraft
4) Heroes of the Storm
5) Diablo III/StarCraft II

I don't have any numbers or estimates for WoW/HOTS/D3/SC2. HOTS might be above WoW and I'm not sure if SCII is above D3 or below, so I put them equal.

Just imagine the despair devs must feel when they hear Blizzard is making a game in their genre. Blizz nails it every time and Overwatch is one of their best yet.

I wish I didn't hit a wall with this game. Just over a hundred hours my interest in playing it fell off a cliff. I have no clue how people put thousands of hours into these games. They just start feeling too samey after a while.

Diablo 3 moved 30 million between the base game and expansion pack, unless you mean current player base.

I'm a recent convert to this game. Lots of fun. Getting loot boxes is addictive.

It does take a moment to find matches on PS4 though. My friend has it on Xbone and its damn near instant over there.

The biggest surprise for me this gen. I had 0 hype for it before release, tried the beta and thought it was okay then bought the full release. It was my personal GOTY.

Production values are clearly through the roof, but I still don't get the appeal - maybe that's because I queue solo and so my experience largely depends on who I get queued with. That said, I queue solo in CoD and have lots of fun so maybe I just a shiny number going up after every match to keep me coming back.

I barely have any issue finding games on PS4, not sure what the issues are. Maybe my MMR sucks balls or something, but in ten seconds I'm usually ready to rock.

The sale stats are crazy for this game. It's everywhere, people in my family who I never expected to get into an FPS are playing it, fan art is all over my Twitter timeline, conventions artist alleys are bursting with Overwatch related prints. Blizzard completely smashed with this game. Deserved.

You probably had the right general order, though WoW and Heroes might be a bit murky, and Diablo 3 is probably over StarCraft 2 simply because Diablo 3 sold so much more.

They don't even hire for StarCraft 2 (or any RTS game) anymore, whereas all the other games are in significant staffing ramp up.

And somehow I always get thrown into a "waiting for players" match and then moved to a real match. It happens every single match on PS4.
I turned off skirmish just so I didn't have to deal with this sort of thing. Just leave me on the damn menu please.

Wasn't the estimate of active players on Hearthstone something like 1 million? 50 million accounts exist for HS but not that many people actively play it.

My two daughters love playing Overwatch on my account vs AI. With voice chat off. It's always fun seeing my youngests reaction when new content hits

And the only other games they usually play are tablet apps and Minecraft. But they love OW.

You know, honestly I never thought it would maintain this level of interest. I thought at release it was fairly light on content and interest would probably cool after a couple months. But here we are. And though I haven't played consistently since launch, I still find myself getting back into the game from time to time. My daughter is still super into it, she's like double my level at this point.
