Marvel Heroes 2016 |OT3| Highway to the Danger Room

2 new characters this entire year, and none of them are even interesting? Buh. Why didn't they pick Valkyrie instead of yet another Thor? She uses a spear and a sword. Woulda been fine for a stance switcher and she's in Ragnarok too. Bleh.

Cuz she'll be the enhanced costume!

They also shot down wasp for next year saying no chance barely even spoken about.

No ui rework on pc this year.

Want to do new raid not enough time this year

Designer said he understands people are weary game is dying due to previous events says its not going anywhere n this year was highly profitable for them

Hes been giving very blunt answers n says hes doing it because he feels thats best way to tackle the road map questions.

Wants to get rid of advance pack / shrink heroes and price adjust.

Xdef revamp next year (lol)

Understands peoples doubts about them running 2 versions of game fluidly says they will both be close in features.

Pc version is going to be lead still and will get most new things first.

Teamups wont be on console

Jubilee is high for release next year

Mentions cloak and dagger alot says team does aswell

Custom floruishes are going to take over prestige rewards

Wants to overhaul events.

None of that sounds like playable Kaine.

None of that sounds like playable Agent Venom.

None of that sounds like playable Anya Corazon.

But hey, let's make a second Thor playable, but just the guy Thor and not one of the actual different character Thors like Beta Ray Bill or Jane, because why not

So who is a good mix of Melee and ranges attacks.

I have been using Hulk but it seems like he only has 1 ranged attack.

I am like lvl 10 on PS4

Practically everyone has a mix of melee and ranged. Why don't you list some of your favorite heroes and we'll help you narrow down who has a good mix?

Marvel's Runaways ordered to series, leaked trailer at Hulu Upfront

Marvel’s Runaways, based on the comics created by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona, is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand one another but who must unite against a common foe: their parents. It stars Rhenzy Feliz as Alex Wilder, a loud-and-proud nerd who spends much of his free time playing video games; Lyrica Okano as Nico Minoru, a tough, angst-ridden budding Wiccan; Virginia Gardner as Karolina Dean, who, underneath her veneer of privilege and perfection, is experiencing a newfound eagerness to explore her identity; Ariela Barer as Gert Yorkes, a purple-haired, riot grrrl; Gregg Sulkin as Chase Stein, a high school heartthrob many write off as a dumb jock but who exhibits flashes of untapped brilliance in engineering; and Allegra Acosta as the eternally peppy Molly Hernandez, the youngest and most innocent of the group.

Danger Room didn't really hold my interest for very long. Agree with pretty much all of the rest.

I'm most bummed about uniques going away. I thought they were interesting and always something worth striving for. Now the loot is all just generic items with different colored names.

Quite the opposite for me. I found uniques to be boring as an endgame item. Outside of a special piece every so often, they were just designed to make sure the hero was at a baseline level of competitive damage/survivability. The game devolved from uniques being an amazingly strong piece of gear to being what you had to quickly find to start doing content with that hero. Worse yet, when new heroes were released, they each only got five total. This meant those with multiple spec options had to resort to any-hero uniques (which were even more boring stat-wise than the hero specific ones) to fill remaining slots.

Reaper of Souls really spoiled me. I only hope omega items turn out to be even a quarter as interesting as some of D3's legendaries.

No team ups
2 new characters
No carryover from PC to console.

I have to think they were mainly focusing putting this on console but seems like a bad deal.

I mean they fucked them up eventually like they do with everything else but i liked them as peak loot when they were good.

I liked the idea of knowing I was more or less "done" with gearing up my alts when I got them all so I could focus on artifacts.

I also miss the fanservicey aspect of them as well. The loot right now is the most boring it's been since the game launched.

Haven't played since the total revamp of the game - from the negativity here I am assuming the game is still bad and dashes are still nerfed?

Yeesh. September for Omegas. My MH drought will continue it seems

Yay and nay.

While there's no disputing they are far more interesting in the way they interact with powers, the problem they cause is severely limiting build choices. The sets and their various complimentary items are far and away BiS (and mostly pretty easy to find at that), and it takes a lot of the fun out of the loot hunt after you find them. For example a thornsader. You find an ancient belt of the trove and then what for that item slot? Every orange belt you see from that point may as well be a forgotten soul. It then, turn into a similar system as the old MH uniques we're you're just trying to find the same item with better roles. But that's prob beside the point a little.

Just wanted to mention D3 itemization is far from flawed. Now Grim Dawn, there's a game that does it right

Just wanted to say that I have a couple PS4 Founders Packs up for grabs in the BST thread at a discount since my friends aren't going to play Omega with me.

Bought the GOTG2 Pack, not a single movie team-up in the cards... why do I even bother.

I guess I am what's wrong with the gaming industry. The Star-Lord costume is pretty cool though.

I have so many pets. All characters could have had one and I'd still have to store them (started dropping them).

Heck I'm bored, I guess I'll play some, but it feels like I'd be doing it for nothing. Did they reassure PC players that they will give us reasons to play? That was supposed to be this week right?

this articale over at mmorpg really sums up most peoples frustration from a vets view

http://www.mmorpg.com/marvel-heroes-2016/editorials/its-a-frustrating-time-to-be-a-fan-1000011713

Roadmap from Gazillion was posted in this article, and yeah, BUE feels like a flop, I was so excited, and now it's postponed for infinity (I'm here all week, or not).

I feel it's best if I move on, and be surprised if they do give us some love. This way all of my time eggs won't be wasted trying to level up infinity points if they actually reveal that the PC version will be on hold until blah blah blah. I thought about finding a new go to random stuff game. I should just sink my feet into Black Desert, buy the darn pets that pick up loot that I have been camping in that game, and just literally farm and manage workers. I bought the highest price version of that game and have yet to use the 30x2 day premium items codes, among other some other things that came with it. I hope they don't expire.

But man, they gotta fix loot. Loot has just gotten worse over time in this game. "lootsplosions" were a mistake and individual items are never that exciting. I haven't seen much of the PS4 version, but apparently loot is better there?

catching up on the latest happenings and yeah, wanna second this. I don't think they realize how much of an albatross the current loot system is on PC. Whatever else they do, I'm definitely not coming back until the way loot drops, and the loot itself, is changed.

Good on them for finally communicating and being open and having plans but I'll take it all with a hefty truckload of salt. Seeing is believing with this game. I don't have high hopes but still, in my mind the door is always a little bit open for this game.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
Big design rework coming for Venom... eventually. No timeframe means lolgoodluck, but it's cool to see all the ideas they are tossing around:

edit because the whole post is too big, here's the general highlights:

ARTISTIC STYLE & THEME
Within his normal (untalented) power set, Venom will be re-arted and given new powers to be reflective of the Lethal Protector. Brute strength and webbing will replace his tendril and body-morphing attacks, but those powers can be swapped back in through the Talent system.

Talents will also be made available to reinforce the default powers, so players can choose to go full-force into Lethal Protector (including camouflage), or transform him more into the monstrous, tendril-wielding Venom.

This places him, by default, into a more similar style to Spider-Man (which is thematically correct when targeting Lethal Protector as the style), but we will focus heavily on making sure that Venom is utilizing his strength, not agility, and will feel different than Spidey in as many ways as possible.

PRIMARY RESOURCE & MECHANICS
In the update, Ichor will be replaced with Webbing. Webbing regenerates at all times, identical in regeneration behavior to Spider-Man. No powers spend health by default. Webbing will be much easier to manage, but will eventually deplete if you are heavily using high Web spenders.

When Venom unlocks talents, he will be offered a variety of powers that return his tendril/monstrous powers from his current power set, which will remain spending Health. These powers do not change his primary resource, they just spend health as an alternative resource in exchange for a damage boost.

For player who did enjoy managing both resources, a talent option will restore the Ichor bar as a Secondary Resource, which will build whenever Venom spends health. When full, Ichor will be consumed to boost the damage of Venom's next health spending power.

Overall, we wanted to make Venom more approachable by removing his double-resource management at early levels, and making it an opt-in mechanic. This further reinforces the thematic change to Venom, making his default power set more reflective of the Lethal Protector in mechanics as well as visual theme.

Hey all,

I played a lot of marvel heroes some time ago (300H+), and stopped playing just before danger rooms. I considered coming back to see the changes, but my inventory is now full and I don't know which items I can fold, and other that I MUST keep.

Would you know some "tutorial welcome back" website ?

Also, I noticed that there are a lot of levels for midtown madness, not just normal & cosmic. Are they unlocked by more cosmic trials ?

Thanks,

I started playing with the release of BUE and this guide was helpful for me https://forums.marvelheroes.com/dis...uide-for-new-players-updated-for-2016-1-06/p1

Weird glitch.

My basic costumes get stuck with costumes I had on last, even if I log out and log back in hours later. Cool I guess.

Do'h maybe it's a F4 thing hah. "We can't patch them, leave them messed up."

the only two packs i have available to purchase for omega are spider-man and warmachine. i played mostly thor and x-23 on pc, which of these two would be closest to those?

Wow, uh....

I guess melee Spiderman would be closest to X-23. They're all pretty different to be honest. Spiderman costs 600 splinters in game, at least on PC, so if you're going to pay money for packs, I'd go for that one.

I am sitting here watching the Giant Bomb Quick Look for the console version and I'm thinking about playing it. Someone please come save me from myself.
