This reads like a desperation move without the desperation being there yet.

It's the kind of claim you'd make 5 mins before deadline, when you need a final escape.

Bad idea. If you hide behind someoNE who dies the hider usually dies also. So you can't really announce, and if you hdie behind scum you can't exactly tell town since you're dead.

I'm leaning more towards voting Mazre than Flush, tbh. We need to have hit scum by tomorrow and I've been town-reading Flush for a while. Why would Flush counterclaim as scum?

Not because he might let scum get a double kill if he dies with the person he is hiding with.

Mazre's claimed ability is that he can hide each night, if he survives the person he hid behind isn't scum.

Mazre's ability is a lot more useful than what Flush has claimed. And useful in the fact he probably can't be night killed for his claim either. Making it a perfect role to fake claim.

Yeah, it does seem like shaky scum play.

But it's Clayface vs Clayface, and both are likely to lose anyways.

I'd imagine if RF lives to tomorrow and/or Mazre flips Clayface, they are gone. That's a hard sell to walk back.

If mazre flips town we can confirm Natiko. I still don't like that math, but it's a little less of a loss. And we get RF next day.

I've never been a fan of breadcrumbs, you never know who's going to pick up on them or if they'll be interpreted correctly. They also are more useful to scum as an out than town usually, hence my irritation with CCS earlier.

Did you do anything at all to hint that Natiko was town before outright saying it? You'd think with the volatile role you have, you'd have thrown something out there for people to find if you died. I get not breadcrumbing before hiding but what about the result after?

To be more accurate: I never breadcrumbed my name, I never breadcrumbed my role before claiming at the start of this pahse and I announced that I had a targeting role of some kind at the end of D2.

Why are we information lynching on day 3 when we haven't found a single scum and down 1/4 of the player base? That's to Time just now but also to Fireblend who is doing the same thing but just a little more neatly.

We're lynching scum either way, no? You can't be 100% sure of either of their alignments. What I'm arguing for is maximizing the chances of us having one less scum player in the game by the start of D4. If the poison story is fake then we're still flipping a coin and lynching the other one tomorrow if whoever gets lynched today doesn't flip scum.

Mazre's play makes absolutely no sense as scum, and still doesn't make much sense as town. Royal's counterclaim however makes perfect sense as both town and scum. Seeing as Mazre's at least tilts in the favor of town, guess I'll vote away from that.

See my post above. We're not lynching solely on info. One of them is scum. I don't know which. Mazre is the better bet for more info right now. Also, he's 50% chance of being scum.

If they claimed more than 20 minutes before day end maybe we'd have time to examine each but we're up against the wire here.

RF was nowhere close to getting lynched at the end of today.

If it's a scum play, it's a bad scum play in their immediate future.

Again, that ignores the utility of both sides as well. By all means, if you think Mazre is scum, vote for him, I don't mind that but just tossing your hands in the air and saying we'll get the scum after a coinflip regardless doesn't work because we also lost the utility of the town member in the equation.
