Hmm you have a point there. Maybe it's cause I had just finished watching Yosuga no Sora cause someone told me to. So my mind might have already been ready for the inevitable.

Also, that Jacob pairing was extremely creepy and completely not needed at all.

Eh, the Bleach thing is almost entirely because the story completely went to shit. If there was well-written development of Renji and Rukia after Soul Society I don't think many people would have raised an eyebrow. But there were years and years of nothing and then the big, rushed reveal at the end.

Renji and Rukia are hundreds of years old and have probably been together for a significant portion of that time. Ichigo and Orihime are 17 by the end of the series, and there's obviously a time skip after Yhwach goes down. They are like high school friends who hook up after high school.

Yeah, but we didn't get to see any of that really, so it doesn't really matter to the reader. I'm not saying it doesn't make any sense, it was just really unsatisfying (mostly due to the writing).

Those voice lines still have more credibility than pharah/mercy.

Pharmercy isn't "credible" in any way. Of course it isn't, because there's nothing presented in the game or anywhere else that hints at the two being a pairing beyond the imaginations of players. But neither is Gency.

My point is, as annoying as some may find Pharmercy shippers, people on the other side can be just as annoying. Just as a lack of proof isn't proof, reading too far into things that exist also isn't proof. Until Blizzard actually says a relationship is canon, it isn't canon, and the reason I don't think Mercy/Genji will be real is because I don't think any romantic relationships between active characters will ever be real. The team seems to be taking specific care to avoid even getting into that whole mess.

Zutara could still actually happen, but in the Korra timeline. First, let me tell a quick story about my grandparents.

"Grandma died and Grandpa (both in their 80's) remarried an old friend of his (same age range) within the year. The end".

Zuko and Katarra are both single, the same age, and have known each other virtually all their lives, so yeah, it wouldn't surprise me one bit.
