ended up over 1600 shards after the 10 boxes, got the red terran Rexxar.

I've been playing every character I can up to 5 and he really stood out to me, so I think I'll focus on playing him a while. I tend to do pretty well on him too, and there's always room to improve with micromanaging the bear.

I always queue with a friend who plays a lot of MOBAs and until recently relied on him for knowing when I should be going after merc camps. But Rexxar is so good at that I've gotten more proactive and I feel like I understand the game a lot better.

anyone else have some tips/recommendations or videos to watch? I typically do best when I get Animal Husbandry and basically all the Misha improvements + bestial wrath. But my last game with him was against some 2 support + 3 tank nonsense and I felt like I could've built him more effectively. Still won though.

Someone last week said the change was going live this week. Didn't realize it hadn't. Wonder what the holdup is?

Edit: Beau on CORE suggesting Blizzard can alter maps without removing them from the rotation the same way they do heroes sounds like an absolute disaster. I get wanting all maps in game, but supposedly part of this rotation is so they can tweak out of rotation maps. They aren't like heroes. If one hero is busted (good or bad, really) after it gets a rework that's only a problem if you play that hero. In most modes it can be banned, or if it's bad no one really plays with it til the inevitable fix. If they bust a map, however, EVERYONE has to deal with it until it is fixed. It's not something so easily avoided and the testing of it can't be as thorough. Tweaking the ones that need it to any real degree while they are live would be awful IMO.

Hmm I think it depends on the type of change. But even then they should probably but the new version on ptr for awhile or something.

Like I wish the wells on warhead were in a different spot so they couldn't so easily be sniped over walls, i don't think they'd have to take the map out of rotation to do that.

But honestly they should just take the bad maps out and rework them like they did haunted mines.

I dabble in playing Rexxar but I don't think there's anything you can do differently vs a melee heavy comp / that many tanks. Rexxar's talents need another rework as he only has one viable build, buffing Misha. His Q talents suck and you can't buff the Misha heal anymore.

Easy Prey, Animal Husbandry, Aspect of the Beast, Bestial Wrath, Wildfire Bear, whichever talent at 16 and 20.

He does have interesting talents in there they're just too weak. Like he has a cool auto attack build but it's just such shitty damage that it's just not worth. They could buff his unused talents and he'd be good to go

Speaking of sniping wells they have to fix that you can focus Kazra camps onto wells on Infernal Shrines eventually.
It's such a cheap exploit of vision that's running rampant in competitive.
 
TIL that Lunara's splintered spear talent at 7 isn't timed. Meaning you can pre-Q before a fight, AA, Q, AA for back-to-back splintered spears. That's a game changer for an already OP talent (since Nature's Culling was nerfed).

same is true for her crits IIRC. When she came out a popúlar build was stacking the crits with the faster AAs to take someone out of a fight almost immediately. You'd W a wave then hold the buff going into a teamfight, get the 4 fast AAs in W again and have another batch ready. Healthbars vanished.
I mean it comes from stealing a camp right? Seems semi-fair to me.

The build i kinda liked had the w cdr at lvl 1 and the more dmg after w at lvl 7, it meant that your crit was pretty much always up.

Why pilot health? She's already squish as can be. Maybe mech health or pilot damage if they feel pilot mode is too strong (which I honestly haven't seen happen in my games with/against yet), but honestly she doesn't appear to need any nerfing at the moment since she's settled in to just below 50% winrate.
 
Pilot mode can be annoying but it's like a nuisance really. I would much rather take the poke dmg from the pistol than having a chen ult push me around all the time.

edit: Also where the hell are the Carbot sprays!!! wth Blizz you even sell carbot merchandise

I'm just holding out hope for the Carbot stick horse. That would've been the mount to include in 2.0, or a welcome package...not a reskinned horsebra.

Bungie just announced Destiny 2 will launch through Battle.net, it would be hilarious if some sort of Destiny content made it into Heroes.
 
gotta give OW a break. can't have all the hero cross over. but i'm waiting for DVA skin in Destiny 2 though. and the dva mech from Hots to make its way there.

I want my Peter Dinklage announcer pack from his turn as the ghost in the OG Destiny. That's as far as I got in the game unfortunately since it makes me motion sick af.

You're probably right, but I'm a sucker for MMOs. Can't be much worse than some of the others I played, at least it was pretty for the most part. I mean I did spend like 2-3 years playing SWTOR =/

So listening to the end of CORE and they delve back into map rotations again. Beau is especially against them, particularly in QM where he feels the variety is kind of part of the experience there. I think scoobs said pretty much the same and that makes sense. I prefer a rotation to the full pool or seeing Garden/Mines pulled completely with no pool, but I digress.

Beau conceded he could see why 13 maps is too much for new players in QM, and suggested maybe they do a better job limiting the pool for new players with a rotation and removing that rotation later for veterans. His gauge for when to do this made me go WTF, though. He suggested that Blizzard should perhaps implement the rotation if you are below level 1000, but remove it if you are above level 1000. Tell me, how many level 1000+ players have you seen since April 25th? I've seen 5 -- and two of those are me and Milly. Simply getting to something like level 500 is a ton of play time. 1000? That's insanity.

I think just limiting the pool to some core maps for like 50 account levels would be good. I'd go with something like Cursed Hollow (3 lane "generic" map)/Dragon Shire (3 lane capture point + objective vehicle map)/Tomb of the Spider Queen (3 lane collect and turn map)/Sky Temple (3 lane capture point map) and then another two maps would be optimal. There's only 4 two lane maps by my count, and none are that popular, so I don't know what you'd include in the pool from that. Braxis? BOE? /shrug. I don't really think the first 10 games on Cursed Hollow does enough for new players. It does give them some stability, but then it throws them right into the fire afterwards...especially prior to 2.0 releasing. It might be a decent middle ground to do it that way for QM and keep the rotation only for the draft modes.

As am I and I played Destiny for awhile as well as SWTOR, WoW and GW2 just in the last 5 years.

Did you ever try Wildstar? Looking back the way it worked reminds me a bit of how HOTS works with skillshots and so forth. It was a lot different from all the PVP I did in SWTOR at the time. Wish it hadn't failed. Hell, I wish a lot of these MMOs had done better. Also wish I had stuck with FFXIV after it's relaunch. I hit max level and just petered out.

im having a rough day guys... one of the worst I cn remember in the game.

then I just played this game as Malf, I was like "fuck it, ill do some healing"... I saw the light. I saw the green Malfurian light :eek:

I mean I knew he was obviously good, but I actually had a blast. No mana issues either which I could sware he had. That Twilight Dream ult is RIDICULOUS (I always used the healing one before as a noob)
 
so i was playing in a group yesterday and someone in chat said hello youtube. then i started watching videos on youtube for wtf funny moments in hots. now i'm going to wait for when i'm clipped in there xD

Not really. The character classes are pretty much the same with slightly different grenades, and different ultimate abilities.

you could easily put together a HOTS character out of a Destiny class. Destiny talent trees would actually sync up well with HOTS.

For movement abilities there are classes with teleports, dashes and double jumps.

Sure they play similarly in the game, but you could give them different loadouts based on Destiny exotic weapons. I wasn't even sure if this would work until I started writing this post but I'm totally down with the idea now, shit.
