I mean, I don't see why it's hard to understand why someone wouldn't want to go in blind for a DCEU movie at this point. And by that logic, then uhh, you shouldn't really bother with seeking out impressions then either if someone really cared that much about not being influenced.

If they announce a new Batman, Xmen, Spiderman, etc., you know instantly if it's something you want to see and you're probably going to eventually see it, so instead of spending hours reading about it, just use that time to see it instead.

Eta- look, you all are going to watch this movie regardless of the reviews. The soone you realize this, the more fun you'll have.

consider they made it a point to ape an iconic Superman moment and "the Justice starts with her" tagline it wouldn't surprise me if it was more than a marketing line. I'm not going to give weight to these press reactions for a second since Gadot has yet to show any acting talent or charisma her entire career.

Ah fair enough. Maybe there has been a conscious effort to pay homage to Donner's Superman.

I personally would rather they didn't recapture the feel of those films because they were great at the time but they feel dated to me now. I'd rather just some of the pulp elements be present, but straight comparisons to Donner's Superman doesn't do the film any more favors, in my eyes at least.

Honestly, Captain America: The First Avenger comparisons would resonate more with me.

I can finally tell you.. Wonder Woman is a very good film. Funnier, more action packed than you're probably expecting. Gal is perfect as WW!

Guys, we have seen this happen before. The early impressions for DC films are always positive, but then Disney starts handing out the money hats so that when the actual reviews start to roll out all of a sudden every critic hates it. Then you actually watch the film and turns out it's amazing and a year later it wins an Oscar.

If the reviews for this actually turn out to be good, then I'll actually go check this out in theaters. I'll put aside my dislike of Man of Steel to finally see a movie with a heroine on screen that's good. That's something exciting to me, the last I can recall we got Catwoman and Elektra and I was too young to see them in theaters- not to mention they're crap. :/

I wasn't intending on checking it out so now I'm optimistic.
