Just a reminder that the game releases this upcoming week! Get yo friends ready if you're planning ahead to play.

You know, I've been following this so damned long that NOT playing it has but constantly reading about it has become a daily habit. I'll be damned, but I completely forgot it was coming. Thanks.

I preordered on PC but kinda am interested in the PS4 version too. Anyone know what the PS4 Pro situation is?

I enjoyed the beta, but I'm gonna wait and see what bugs/issues will be at launch. I ended up refunding Dead By Daylight due to issues and missing features.

No preload :/
And I could be wrong, but I think they tweeted awhile ago that there is no pro support yet.
Hope I'm wrong.

I wouldn't expect reviews until like next week.

I really enjoyed the beta once the matchmaking was fixed. I'll probably wait a couple days after launch to make sure there isn't any game breaking bugs.

Game looks good and I may pick it up. I do have a question for people that played the beta. If you're a counselor and you die is that it for that round or whatever? More or less I'd hate to be the first person to die then have to sit around the rest of the time waiting for the game to end.

That is what I am worried about but being a HUGE horror movie and Jason fan I have to get this and give it a shot.......How long was the typical match in the beta? Watching a couple beta videos now and they seem fairly long. Other then sitting around if I die early I am sure ill love this game.

Wait, is this multiplayer only at launch? Thinking about getting it because I loved all the old movies back in the day.

Glad I backed this when it went live on Kickstarfter! Played some of the beta and was instantly pleased. It seemed to play very well, it was tense, the sense of dread when you're a counselor looking to hide or find key parts for vehicles, the music cues. Hopefully these last few months they've polished the hell out of it. This one will be huge on Twitch and Youtube. It's one of those games where it's just fun to sit back and watch other people play. A great party game as well.

Since this game uses Unreal Engine 4, I'd love to see a Nintendo Switch version, especially with HD Rumble support. :) Alas, I'll be playing on PC for now.

No. If the surviving counselors manage to call Tommy Jarvis then you'll respawn as him. If they don't (or someone else becomes him) then you're out of the match until it's over.

Also worth mentioning that even if you manage to escape as a counselor, there is still a chance to be spawned in as Tommy before the round is over.

So it's going to be like this asking for switch games >.> lord have mercy.

From my bad memory 15-20 minutes average, if not longer. Sometimes people won't do a damn thing so it makes you want to quit as it'll drag on.

I really miss good horror-slasher inspired games, but this game has always given me the impression of not being finished... I'll probably wait a bit until after it's out and has single-player content.

Beta looked really bad on twitch. I'm not talking about the usual beta jank, all of which could be fixed for release. I'm talking about the game mechanics themselves not having enough depth/complexity to keep the streamers engaged for very long. I could've sworn that all this time was supposed to provide a singleplayer mode as well. People were making a lot of excuses for the game during the beta specifically for that.

I completely forgot this was coming this week and it's been one of my most anticipated games of the year. Hopefully the PS4 version is up to snuff and has a decent playerbase, feels like there isn't much hype.

I think I'll wait a week to see how the launch shakes out. The Beta had a lot of technical issues and I would hate to pick up a Multiplayer only game that lacks a community.

completely forgot this was releasing so soon. I backed it for a digital copy. Hope I didnt miss any platform selection. I think I vaguely remember choosing

That dynamic hair! That chick has, since her introduction, been preordained to be the character I and my oldest daughter main. She reminds us of Violet from part 5, and we fucking LOVE Vi.

This is getting me through this week. I bought a 1080 like 4 months ago and, since then have picked up a PS4 Pro. I kickstarted this for a PC code and am kind of kicking myself now. Anyone know, are they going to directly kick this to your Steam account somehow, or will I be able to sell the code for a slight discount and use the funds for the PS4 version?

Seems silly, but it just seems like the kind of game I'd like to play on a console. I know these games, new though they are, are usually aimed at a PC community. All this said, this running at 4k on the Pro will make all the difference. The beta looked fucking AMAZING in 4k on PC. Guys, this is really a dream come true for me. All my life I've been waiting for something like this. My kids keep asking if it's out yet, and I've had to keep telling them "Early 2017!".

End of May is a hard sell as "Early 2017". I'm at a fever pitch here. The developers are the only Twitter account I have set up to give me a notification when they post.

Man, I just can't wait to get back into it all over again. I found this hiding spot - which worked every single time - where Jason didn't look to find me. I used this certain hiding spot whenever I was at the location it's at, and hide there when Jason was near me/pursuing me, and he would lose me each time. And I've seen nobody else use this spot, I haven't seen anybody else discussing it online either, so that's pretty cool. It takes me back to the days of Battlefield 2 where I purposely tested the boundaries of some maps to see if I could glitch my way into buildings or whatever, especially Strike at Karkand, and some of them actually worked; although they were popular glitch spots.

So yeah, I can't wait to get back into it to see if my hiding spot still works. I'll give a hint: it's inside one of the buildings. Think about the way each room is laid out, and how hiding in a certain spot will get you out of view from where every player tends to walk.

A couple of concerns of mine have been lack of maps (only three at launch, at least that is what I've read) and a lot of gameplay videos from the Beta looked pretty laggy. Many people teleporting around and such. Probably give it a couple of days after launch to see how it holds up.

Backed this on Kickstarter, so I'm ready for my Xbox code! I sure hope ppl don't just stay in party chat or don't use mics. The game is a million times better when ppl actually use the proximity chat.

I think it's gonna be a hard sell at $40.
I doubt it will affect the population. All the biggest Twitch streamers played the beta so I can see them doing it for the launch. They'll practically sell the game to the general gaming population.

I think this might be the surprise hit game of the summer.
